What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. Being a big city, San Antonio is pretty pgressive and likely has a lot of secular influence, but I agree. Try this in New York or L.A.. In fact, it might be interesting to try it in San Francisco or Portland, some place with a very liberal culture and a high concentration of people from the lgbtq… community who might be in the restaurant. It would be interesting to see if they would support the praying family or the bitchy atheist.

I'm a Christian and we always pray thankfully no one he's said anything. In school I'd pray silently with my eyes close. My best friend who's an atheist knows when i got my eyes close I'm praying so she never interrupts and when she eats with my family my father prays and she just bows her head down or stares. She has told me it doesn't bother her she's happy with what i believe. We always have a mutual respect for each other.

As a Christian my family growing up prayed in public at restaurants and we still do. Never have been harassed for it…there will probably come a time where it will happen. We were taught no matter where we are at to be thankful for all the God gives us…it’s not meant to be preachy but if someone asks us why we are Christian’s (or why we pray)we would share why as they got the ball rolling so to speak by asking that question to us.

I’ve bowed my head and sat quietly while friends have said grace and prayed. Although you don’t need my permission to pray, I grant it freely. I think there is enough stigma against us atheists. Let’s be careful not to make it worse. Very few atheists behave this way.

About two weeks ago my friend and I were at the grocery store and we couldn’t help but notice something that made us very upset. It was a transgender lady and she was looking at makeup. (Now mind you we are Christians) a young man walked by her and was making extremely rude comments. We could tell that she was hurt by them. When he left we went up to her and asked if we could pray with her, she said yes. We didn’t pray for her to change or to be fixed, we didn’t say that she was sining, instead we prayed over her heart, we prayed for protection over her mind and feelings, we prayed that she was healed from old wounds, we prayed that she knew her worth, and that she knew how special and loved she was, we prayed that she would be bold in who she is and that she wouldn’t let peoples words tear her down. We didn’t believe the same thing but I wanted her to know how valuable and loved she was by Christ and us. Shes a person and I will ALWAYS stand up for people, no matter the race, religion, gender, ex. I hope you all no that not all of us are bad, believe me I know some Christians that are judgemently and rude but I promise it’s not all of us. Give us a chance some of us may shock you. I hope you all have a great night and if you’re reading this remember he loves you and he isn’t against you. You are worth more than gold please remember that.

It’s a common prayer in Texas among the southern Baptist community especially among the young. My step-sister, step-brother, and 2 of my cousins are southern Baptist and use it. I always feel embarrassed when me and my family prays in public over the food, but that's when I was little. Happy that I got over it because I realised no one was judging and that there are people like this as well, so I started getting comfortable praying when I go out with friends and such. Wholesome.

My old group of friends were all atheists, they said that they "respected" my religion, but would aways laugh and mock me when I prayed or said something like "god bless you", I stopped doing prayers in public because they would make me uncomfortable and laugh at my beliefs like im stupid for believing in first the place. See, I think that would be an interesting scenario. Have a group of friends where the religious ones ask the whole table to pray, and the atheist says "no, you go ahead, but I don't want to." Have the religious friends pressure or berate them, and see if anyone defends them.

I pray with my family whenever we go out to eat at a restaurant and back then, I didn't really like praying cause I thought it was embarrassing until it was around 4-5 months ago, I went to a Cuban restaurant, this one waitress was about to give us other things and saw us praying and after we prayed, she said: "I know it sounds weird when I say this, but that was absolutely beautiful." Because of her, she showed me that there's never shame in praying in public and now I'm never afraid to do it before I eat.
