Sorry to say, but if someone gets cardiac arrest in a building, let's say a major office, it probably won't help with a starter, as it has to be done imediately in a split second, and with Eriksson on the pitch with all the attention, it made people aware in a second. Even at hospitals they sometimes aren't able to rescue some (if they aren't on machines measuring their vitals), as the attention on the person suffering needs to be direct.One-two minutes unattended and it's game over.

The Christian Erickson incident leaves a lot of unanswered questions and I'm REALLY intrigued why no journalist worth their salt have followed up this incident. 1) Why is there a rule in Italy that a player cannot play with an ICD fitted? 2) When did this particular rule come in, to Serie A? 3) One must presume that an incident happened previously like this for them to bring in a rule like this?! 4) IF that IS the case, then who was 'player zero'? 5) IF there was a case, what happened to them? Did they survive or die? 6) Was there more than one player that suffered that made them bring in this rule? 7) Why isn't there a similar rule in the UK or in any other country? 8) I have a brother who has had an ICD fitted. He was advised to avoid ANY contact sport, in case an impact would push the ICD (remember, two wires are inserted directly into the heart) onto the heart and bursting an artery. 9) One must question IF Erickson has had an ICD implanted at all, and if his successful 'return' was a factor in 'normalising' heart attacks for the masses and that people could return to 'normality' after an apparent brush with death. 10) Despite so many people DYING of cardiac arrest, any link to the Va**ine has been overlooked or completely ignored. 11) It is my contention that this episode was staged. I predict that Erickson will be transferred to a higher profile Premier League club in the close season to ready him for the Qatar World Cup next season. I predict the 'reward' for Denmark playing their part in the staged Erickson incident will be a semi-final place in the upcoming World Cup giving them a realistic chance of winning it outright with the MSM behind him as a 'feelgood' story ...

I see your point, but I don't agree. First he might have given consent to share information. I have Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy....it is Genetic...but did not show symptoms till 5 years after serving 20 years in the Navy..Never had a problem and then 1 day my chest felt weird but it didn't last long and i didn't think much of it, then it happened 3 to 4 times a week after that for a month and told my doc. I went thru almost 2 months of testing including Nuclear Medicine until they gave me a Echocardiogram. Which noticed my lower chamber was slightly larger than nu upper chamber. In the space of a year , i went from being fully healthy to taking 4 pills everyday and an aspirin. I now have a 20% chance of SDS (sudden death syndrome) and other health issues have cropped up that make it worse. Lesson here-If you feel some pain, go find out why right then and don't wait till after you been revived.

When Iker Casillas collapsed during a training session end of 2018-19 season he too had a (small yet impactful) cardiac arrest. He didn’t play during the 2019/20 but he was cleared by doctors but FC Porto refused to play him even though he was still registered as a player. Fans wanted him to make a minute appearance at the final game even as a 90th minute sub to end his playing career on a high. He retired anyway as his contract had run up. Health comes first. Eriksen will probably be monitored and have a device such as the doc said. Maybe he will play in a year or two. Who knows? Let’s wait and see. Medical technology is a thing of beauty. I hope he gets a send off like many wished Iker would get.

My CPR story. While we were at our summer house we heard someone screaming for help, it was an elderly woman in the water so we dropped everything and ran there as fast as possible(water level was at around 1.5m) I was the first to get there and as i did i could see that she was trying to hold her husband lifeless body above the water line, but since they were both in their early 90s she just didn't have the strength. I quickly grabbed the man and pulled his head above the water line, but he both felt and looked dead. My uncle was just a few seconds behind me so we proceeded to drag him to the shore. When we got to solid ground we were able to start CPR. Thankfully my mom is a nurse so she was doing most of the CPR work, we had to roll him over a few times because vomit/water was coming up during the cpr. We did CPR for around 15 minutes and as time went on you started realizing where this was going. But then all of a sudden you could see his chest start moving on his own and then he began coughing and vomiting up water. The look of relief on his wife face as she realized he was alive is something i'll never forget. The ambulance showed up shortly after(this was at our summer house by a lake so quite the distance from a hospital) and they told us that they would probably have presumed him dead after 10 mins of CPR. But in the end he only suffered a few broken ribs and pneumonia. Amazingly enough just a few weeks later we were able to sit down and drink some coffee and eat cake with him and his family. Learning how crucial those minutes are for survival and to prevent brain injury. I'm even more amazed how a man in his 90s who was basically dead for 15 minutes managed to live and suffer no other ill affects other than the broken ribs/pneumonia. Thanks for reading my lil' story if you did!

I noticed the doctor was keeping away from saying it could have been the vaccination Christian Erikson received. Him saying vaccination would have sent out alarm bells ringing across the football world.
@rockyworsfold3 жыл бұрын
Well he either had it or he didnt (to state the obvious) - but what is not obvious is that if he hasnt had the jab then he is likely to of declined it. Inter team recieved the offering, Denmark are moving pretty fast and would of cleared those aged 29 and Milan uptake is pretty strong compared to other regions in Italy. Not to mention the personal doctor service that would give him and others a priority service. So if he hasnt had it, it's likely to be because he has turned it down. As a fit, health young man and weighing up the risk vs benefit. I can believe that. Shame there isnt more clarity as to if he has or hasnt. And before anyone kicks off and says his personal medical files are his and none of our business.... I would remind you that the vaccine passports that most people are happy to sign up for void that arguement.

@armuk3 жыл бұрын
@@rockyworsfold more idiocy i see. among younger age groups the protection the vaccine gives is more for the more vulnerable groups that these people will inevitably come into contact with as we lift lockdown. feel free to decline the vaccine, perhaps you like remaining in perpetual lockdown, or simply barred from public spaces/events. entirely one's own decision indeed.
@rockyworsfold3 жыл бұрын
@@armuk or maybe I just do not like using children as shields. The Risk to Benefit benefit ratio isnt there and without the true risks being discussed openly and long term effects (which remain unknown) being exposed (if any), then it would be foolish to put these jabs into kids. And frankly, using the excuse of jabbing kids to protect the elderly, whom have had their own jabs, is abuse without long term data.

The Dr at Inter Milan confirmed that he took the Pfizer vaccine on May 31st. Could this have contributed to the cardiac arrest?
@moluther28263 жыл бұрын
No. Next question.
@warrenforest74173 жыл бұрын
@@moluther2826 why not? "inflammation of the heart muscle" indicates they are investigating the vaccine as a possible cause. It is recommended for subjects to not participate in strenuous activities within the 2 weeks of receiving the vaccine. So if you look at the time line... He should not have been on international duty if he was last vaccinated on the 31st of May. This goes against COVID medical advise. There are other Inter Milan players who also received the vaccine who are also not following protocols of the required period of rest after vaccinations. This is the problem with Footballers being treated like resources to club and country and television milking every last drop they can from these athletes by packing the fixture schedules. It's absolutely relentless for Footballers. Some fit players can play about 80 games inside the calendar year. This is not good for the body. @dude_brah: That is not a silly question
@elingrome58533 жыл бұрын

Klopp complained about it all the time, how these players are being overplayed and are experiencing increase in injuries. We all know how crazy the EPL schedule is. Add on top of that Europa and UCL, I would think they would do at least two checkups, one at the beginning one at the middle of the season, since their body is probably being so overworked by the middle of the season.
