Christian Eriksen: This is my story - Free kick tutorial with the Danish genius

Christian Eriksen is a Danish midfielder, currently playing for Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, and in this video Joltter meets up with Christian Eriksen to hear more about his road to becoming the player he is today. Eriksen also shares his tips on how to shoot a great free kick so make sure you dont miss the Christian Erisken free kick tutorial included in this episode!
Eriksen, born in 1992, started his football career in his hometown Middelfart in Denmark where he spent his first 10 years of his football career. At the age of 13 he joined another Danish club called OB while also starting to make name for himself in the youth national teams of team Denmark.
As a 16-year-old football talent, Christian Eriksen was scouted by the Dutch team Ajax and he moved to Amsterdam where he would win the Dutch Eredivisie 3 times while also gaining lots of experience in the top level.
From Amsterdam & Ajax Eriksen's next step was joining Tottenham Hotspur in London where he's still playing to this date.

Im not Eriksen, but I think he chose Ajax because: - Their academy is known to produce great players over the years, players like Cruijff, van Basten, Bergkamp, Rijkaard, Davids, Kluivert, Sneijder, van der Wiel - and the list goes on! - I also think that, for example, in Chelsea FC, it's much more difficult to break through to the first team from the academy. - Ajax is also known for giving opportunities for young talents in the first team so maybe Eriksen thought this is a place where he will get valuable playing minutes while being coached at one of the greatest academies in the world of football. Again, I cant speak on his behalf but this is what I think :D - Joltter

On top of what Unisport wrote, Ajax has a Danish scout that brings a lot of Danish talents to the club. Grønkjær, Eriksen, Fischer, Lucas Andersen and of course Dolberg ;) Also, he knew he had a great chance of getting playing time on a team that plays European football. Ajax is also known for an attacking style of football.

Eriksen, Alderweireld, Vertonghen. All played together at Ajax, now at Tottenham. It's a good place to go as a young player, you get playing time, can develop, learn how to deal with the pressure of playing for a team that is expected to win every week and is expected to win championships, and play European football every year aswell.

I Learnt that no matter what you must working if you always dream to become a footballer. You need to practice everyday in football and your personal live. I try to play like him and i train on my freekicks. This tutorial is very helpful to a young player like me.I train hard everyday because i know where can i be in future. Eriksen is a great example of it. He is a very humble guy and he reach the level of the best playmakers in the world. Eriksen is my favourite Player since he join Tottenham and I trying to be like him. i've always admire him. His history is a inspiration for everybody. I enjoy every minute of the game when he play. I love Christian and i hope that someday i will be like him. I remember that 2 years ago you made an interview with Chrsitian too! That was an amazing video but this is even better! Don't wanna be fake or cringe. However, From watching this Episode I have learned that you can have loads of talent, but its useless if you are not willing to put in the effort and make sacrifices. Lastly, be smart on how you want to develop as player, Eriksen went to a club not for the name or size of the club, but for what a team can offer like Ajax did which shaped him to the player he is today.

Maybe you're too young to know this, but Ajax is a big name and a big club. They've won 4 Champions Leagues. And their youth academy is one of the best in the world. It's the home of Total Football, and Johan Cruijff, who was one of the most influential people in football. Unfortunately due to the increasing role of money in football Dutch clubs can't compete with the top leagues anymore.

I learned to never give up because tomorrow could be the last day you play Football or Soccer. Also, you can always improve your game to be the best you can be. Sacrificing pays off in the long run with seeing friends and family less but you may have a day one day where you finally understand that you did what you did to be successful that day and now. Plus you're role models even go out and stride and strive to be better and the best they can be hoping you do the same. I learned that NOTHING absolutely NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE! To get to the top you have to work hard! Even though a lot of things will pull you down, you always have to get back up! No matter what, you have to play hard, every minuet and every second on the pitch. There are no breaks, you can have one when you get to the top. You always have to be confident, no matter who you are going against you have to play hard. Don't be overconfident, always be humble. Keep practicing all the time, look at your mistakes then work on them. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices, but at the end of the day it's worth it!
