As a person that previously worked in the foster care system, it is disheartening to only hear the negative stories. I like that Christen could tell you the negative and tell you how it was able to move his life forward. I have had several seats at the foster care table...Ive been a Family Service Counselor, a foster parent, and I have a sibling that was adopted out of foster care.

I am so sorry he had to withstand that abuse. I know what it's like because I also was abused and yes it does stay with you as an adult. Damn, this man went through it. Looking at him you would not know how badly he was treated. So sad for that little boy.
