In my opinion, the best Mono Neon interview yet. McBride was able to engage Mono so well and get him out of his Introvertedness.. the educationist in McBride is able to really help Mono articulate and express himself with clarity...two amazing musicians generations apart, genres apart just having awesome conversations - I really learnt a lot about you Mono from this one. Keep rocking Mono!

This was an awesome interview. I stumbled across Mono via social media. Clips he put out. At first it’s the visuals that draws you in, then his bass playing knocks you out. That’s how it was for me. He’s nerdy, shy and a country bumpkin of sorts…he’s a Memphis native…but you CANNOT sleep on him. Well rounded, astute, innovative, intriguing, humble, spiritual, weird, artistic, eccentric, funny. A one of one. I’m a fan.

I had the great pleasure of bumping in to mister christian mcbride this past weekend. he is such a truly bright-spirited human being. almost immediately afterwards, my phone suggested I check this interview. (my phone already knows I love mononeon, but... did it know I was standing right next to christian mcbride for a few minutes? maybe. kinda creepy. anyway...) such a great conversation between these two greats!! yaaaay!!

I completely agree with Mr. McBride on all comments. Great interview! Mononeon is an entertainer, comedian and overall artist but this is the first time hearing him out of ‘character’ if you will. It is all good…

Great to hear Mononeon expound. He's a deep artist. More power to him. And thanks to Mr. McBride for a great interview. First hear Mono with the Ghost Notes. Blew my mind. (Dadaism: ) Dadaism's main purpose was to challenge the social norms of society, and purposefully make art that would shock, confuse, or outrage people.

😊😊😊 This was so nice to see. Thank you for posting this, Mr. Mono. Most of us here know you as an artist and a bad man on the bass, but don't really know you as a person, so thank you for letting us in to see a small part of your world. Nice that you and Mr. McBride could talk about bass and music and share some thoughts for us. Most of us here are already way into what you're doing as a musician, so this just makes us appreciate you even more. Thank you!

I attended a pre-concert lecture at Moravian in Bethlehem, PA, circa 2007-2015 and he (CMcB) played some stuff on PIANI wherein he demonstrated a major third-ish bass line under minor quality chords, and some cat in audience said..."sounds okay to me"... and I did not have the temerity to raise my hand and say, "hey, C McB played some wrong shit, and you all should be able to hear that..." IT WAS THE POINT THAT CMcB was trying to MAKE! Mebbe it's just that I was the ONLY one there, and afraid of making a storm...But I wanted to let CMcB to let him know after ALL THESE YEARS that sumbuddy heard it back in the day!! peace!

A few weeks later I decided to try to figure out how to use it and opened the app and the first thing that I saw was a Scary Goldings IV album cover with Larry Goldings, John Scofield this nasty drummer named Lamar Carter, etc. Nevervheard of Scary Goldings. I hear the bass and he's killin but don't see him and then, who is that, lefthanded? MonoNeon? Now I'm listening to this interview.
