When we realize that our time on earth is only the smallest of beginnings of the rest of our eternal life we see things so differently. I read a comment below that said, 'Why didn't God help him?' God did. Just not they way we would have dictated to God. He helped him in his suffering. He helped through his pain. He helped him take his first step to the rest of his eternal life. When we confine ourselves only to our brief life on earth we rob ourselves of the richness God has set before us. We avoid suffering because who wants suffering when our lives are already so short in what we feel is the big scheme of things. But when we receive God's gift of eternity the suffering is so fleeting in the even bigger mind blowing scheme of things.

Such a heart wrenching tale of endurance and faith until the very end. I found this to be very thought provoking (after shedding quite a few tears), even as a strong believer my human nature wants to ask why?? Why would a loving God allow such a faithful servant of Him to suffer like that and then die? Well...what came to mind was another very faithful servant of God who also suffered immensely before also dying.... Who also questioned God in that suffering but also ultimately trusted the will of the Most High. Mike's very name means ' one who is like God ' and as much as I don't like the outcome here one bit, I choose to also trust the Creator in times like this and His perfect plan in all things. Mike died in a beautiful place that he loved, with his faithful dog (god backwards) by his side! R.I.P Reverend Mike and deepest condolences to his beautiful family and friends!❤

This was more about this mans survival over the 11 days and his documentation of it than a feel good story. Can’t help but think that Mike could have asked his dog to go for help putting a note in his collar to see if he could find another person out there to help. Also with being such a man of god just can’t help but think that we are here on this earth and what happens happens, there are plenty of survival stories of people who are not reverends yet this man is trapped and succumbs to it it’s just thought provoking

We do not exist in order to live forever in the material world, we have eternal souls, people forget this and it really confuses them. Father in heaven actually takes people early sometimes even, because they simply belong in heaven, and this world is just a test and a lot of beast system nonsense tbh...but also, you are right that one can go at any hour, this is why finding the Lord at every hour, is the way to go.

These stories normally end in a happy ending so this was a real shock. First one I've seen where the person didn't make it. Just shows you how unlucky you can be out of nowhere. A few wrong steps and a slip and that sealed his fate. So sad.
