I wonder if he speaks and smiles like this every time he talks about God, it's amazing to see

He smiles everytime he speaks about God. And for me everytime I speak about God my eyes water without control. It's a joyous moment.

"It's easy to find a teacher who tells you what you want." Social psychology teaches us about confirmation bias--the human tendency to only seek information that ratifies our preconceived notions. Your words about the necessity of seeking truth are profound. I found this during my church's season of fasting and consecration, and I'll be sharing it with everyone I can. God bless✝️🕊💜

You are correct! People will try to find teachings that reaffirm what they already believe to be true. This is a problem in all circles of life, not just religion. So to find truth, you must search everywhere for it. If the Bible is true then you will come back to it, correct?

“We have to be quiet and drown out these other voices”. This is great advice if you are trying to start a cult and want to keep people under control. I would argue that you need to listen to the voices all around you, and search for TRUTH. If the Bible is TRUTH, then you will find it because that is what you are searching for.

He may never see this comment, but I pray Francis will understand the deep mystery of God’s love, as I have. It is a miracle I found Him, and it is only because He loved me. When Francis says he can find the wherewithal to obey the commands that he doesn’t want to follow in his flesh...but he can’t bring himself to believe in the goodness of God’s love fully. My heart broke. For I have found that in receiving the revelation of His love, the commands cease to be burdensome. When you KNOW His love no conviction, no standard to be upheld, no truth is too hard to follow. The flesh submits to the power of God’s love with no resistance once you understand how He loves you. It becomes a profound joy to obey your Father. I pray that you will know His love fully, Francis. You are precious!

Amazing. Really really amazing. Convicted again by the pure gospel. Wanted to share it, but find the title a bit confusing :(. The interview is not really about christian sexuality even though the title says it(although I get it's the brand's name, still a bit confusing).

“My marriage to God is everything”. This is an idea taken out of purity culture. This is an insane statement. Somehow thinking that you can be married to God. You are not “married” to God, There is not a single verse in the Bible that supports this idea. If marriage is the highest degree of commitment to one another in this life, then your relationship to God should be a step above that, not equal to that. This is not a “either or” mentality. You can have your relationship to God, and you can also have your marriage. This was absolutely in his design from literally the beginning. Christian’s always mess this up constantly and somehow turn marriage and other relationships into a place of shame and guilt when in reality it should be a place to harbor connectivity, pleasure, joy and fulfillment- JUST AS GOD INTENDED.

Why is this man not single his whole life? He probably should have made a better example of himself by staying single. To many married church people sugarcoat the permanent single life with smiles and happy talk. It really isn’t as impressive as they probably think it is. I make no excuses for anyone’s sin but singleness is very hard and has its negative consequences. There are going to need to be far more life long celibate single pastors to come forward to deal with all the problems the growing number of single Christians are facing but that seems highly unlikely since most pastors like this one want marriage for themselves.

“Christ took the wrath of God for me.” YES. Exactly. Thank you. So take that GOOD NEWS (aka the Gospel) and live your life like this is the ultimate truth. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO UNDO WHAT JESUS DID FOR YOU. Read that again so you can finally let go of the shame and guilt that you’ve been carrying around your whole life.

“I’ve done some pretty bad things in my life and I’ll have to answer for that…. And Jesus took that from me” yes. Exactly. Jesus has taken your punishment, so you would be shame and guilt free, this is the message of the gospel, it’s the good news. This is why the people in Jesus’ day were ECSTATIC and this religious spread like wild fire. Somehow we’ve gone back to shaming everyone and shackling everyone with the very rules and regulations that Jesus sacrificed himself to get rid of.

“You can’t keep calling yourself a Christian and keep moving in this direction”. Hmmm…. What about Romans 5:8? While we were *still sinners*, Christ died for us. I’m under the impression that as soon as you give your life to Christ you are saved. There is NOTHING that can take that away from you. We are human. We make mistakes. Even if those mistakes are life long mistakes. If our life is as short as a vapor in the wind, then surely the mistakes we make are that short to God as well. People that follow Christ *are not perfect and never will be*. When will Christian’s get that through their head?
