I could watch this story over and over and over. What a beautiful example of how animals remember being loved.. I hope Christian is still alive and well with his family
@genemars5158 Жыл бұрын
I watch it over and over, too. I never knew that a lion could be capable of LOVE! This is such a bittersweet story: Christian was born (in a zoo) in 1969, so since a lion's lifespan is roughly 15 years, he would have died long ago, but hopefully he did live a good long and happy life in the wild. He left his human friends for good when he was three years old, to live wild and free, and was never seen by them after that. Here is Christian's story: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apvKin6matOEgs0

Well They Have More Of A Heart Than You. For One When they Did Buy The lion they should have released as soon as they got him because a lioness would have "adopted" him lions are not supposed to be kept in captivity. #STOPWILDANIMALCRUELITY!!
@cmarie638 жыл бұрын
I agree,with you,to an extent. They made a mistake in the beginning,but you must remember what they DID DO for Christian in the end. They took him back to where he rightfully belonged. If you want to really blame someone for NOT having a heart,blame the department store,Harrods of London for even selling animals like that. So...in the end....Christian was released back into the wild,and lived a happy full life. End of story.
@eeedee12988 жыл бұрын
I hope Harrods were offered the cub after it was in the country and not found to order. In which case, the best that could have happened, happened. I suspect Christian had a better life than other lions too :)

Beautiful and heartwarming story. Truly captures the love that animals and humans can share. It was remarkable how the lion recognised them after 1 year in the wild and furthermore incredible that Christian didn't attack them. Really shows how animals have feelings and can love aswell, the lion is obviously greatful that these 2 men gave him his freedom as well as loving and caring for him. Soo glad I found this video, guna share it on twitter and show my family.

I was balling my eyes out & I loved the music. These guys did something wonderful for that lion they fell in love with him, that was wonderful and you could see that Christian was happy. Then the part tugging at my heart was taking him to Africa & leaving him there. I know Christian was ok there but you know he missed his first family and probably thought they had abandoned him. It was for his best quality of life. You could see how much he missed them when he saw who they were & ran up on them cause he was excited to see them and loved them. My tears rolling down my face were happy & sad tears, that kind of love is forever. Thanks guys for adopting Christian and loving him enough to let him go.

I don't see why it is surprising that the lion still recognized them. They raised him and took care of him for years, of course he would still recognize them after only a year in the wild. That's my only complaint😉. Great video. It's a perfect example of how we constantly under-estimate the intelligence and emotional capacity of animals.
