My mom had a quad bypass a decade ago and the scar is barely noticeable but it's still there. I think maybe she is just lucky about surgical scars though because the scar from the mastectomy she had 4 months ago looks amazing. All the other mastectomy scars I've ever seen looked gnarly even after a few years. Actually, her appendectomy scar is almost invisible too... And she doesn't even go to church. She's a 79 year old diabetic smoker and I've got worse scars from skinning my knees in elementary school than she's got from surgeries. Maybe she's secretly Jesus! 😂

So, my elderly neighbor called me and said "Hey, I've got a gift for you on the front porch, I'm not feeling so well, so I won't come to the door." It is a very rural area, so when I say "neighbor," he is about a mile or so down the road. I get there, and taped to the front door are three baggies of weed and a note that says, "Doctor says I can't smoke anymore." That makes me sad. So, I took the baggies and went home and started a chicken soup for my neighbor. Unfortunately, a few weeks later, he passed. I miss him greatly. I occasionally smoke indica as a sleep aid. So, one night when I just couldn't go to sleep, I grabbed a bag of what I thought was my indica. It wasn't. I thought, "OH! NO!"... and I was up all night. I think I actually saw The Atom Heart Mother. The next morning, I was just in awe. He was constantly smoking. I then looked closely at the baggie. Barely legible, in faded sharpie, it read "Banana Rocket." Then I smiled. Indeed it was. They just don't make them like you anymore, my dear friend and neighbor.

The woman speaking against lactose intolerance reminds me of my PCP. My legit medical doctor. I’d call her when I needed a refill of my medication that I’ve been taking for ~7 years and she would call me and say it was needed to be able to submit the refill to my pharmacy. Then she’d talk for 25 minutes about how I need to go to Heavens court and bring an attorney and bring the devil to justice and get off my medication. Then I’d get a bill in the mail for $135. I call the office and the receptionist tells me “it’s a telehealth appointment. The doctor spoke on the phone to you for more than 5 minutes.” And I’m like “she literally babbled and stuff that wasn’t medical. All I asked for was a refill on my prescription.” I had to threaten to report her practice to the medical board for upcoding and not practicing medicine and they kicked me out of the practice and said I didn’t owe anything anymore. Lol…… weeks later, I see her receptionist and she tells me I’m not the only one who’s had that issue. She encouraged me to make the report. Such a mess….. poor people are being taken advantage of for 💴

It always annoys me when people say that the US was founded as a Christian nation (or evangelical as he says), or founded on Christian principles, it wasn't. The US was founded on liberal principles that came out of the enlightenment era, many of which are in direct conflict with Christianity (freedom of religion, separation of church and state, freedom of speech in the sense that blasphemy is protected, etc.). A good portion of the founding fathers considered themselves Diests which basically means that they believed in some kind of higher power or force, but didn't really think it involved itself in our lives, it's about as close to an atheist as it was reasonable to be when we didn't have the theory of evolution for example to explain a lot of life's mysteries.

As a person who has chronic pain that ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and other otc pain relievers do not always help, I have wondered about weed for relief. I went to this church one time during a low, low spot in my life. They asked at the end if anyone needed prayer so I went up there. Next thing I know I got 2 women touching me and speaking in tongues over me. It was uncomfortable. I wanted to ask them separately what the other one said but I just left and never went back. I think what gets to me with the 'resurrection rolls' is the awkward "Hold the camera with one hand while you try to cook with the other" routine. If you're filming a cooking demo (or anything that needs two hands), get a tripod, prop the camera up with a book, ask someone else to hold the camera for 5 minutes, whatever. I asked my mom's friends if they still listen to the same music they grew up with. They told me they don't want to listen to music that might displease god. They were purposely restricting themselves just so they could fit in and became different people I did not recognize. I don't care that they believed in god, but I cannot image restricting myself from things I love. Music, art and the way I dress is how I always expressed myself and they had an issue with that and basically said I was going to hell. You can absolutely have hallucinations from smoking weed, especially these days with the more powerful strains we have, and especially with concentrated product like oils and such. If you don't have a high tolerance especially. But everyone is different, drugs affect everyone differently. You can't just assume that because you have never experienced it yourself that it never happens to anyone ever. Also, "hallucinations" doesn't mean you are talking to people who aren't there or seeing pink elephants in that sky, they can be far more mild. Even just thinking everything looks really bright and vibrant is a form of hallucination. Never been high as hell and suddenly thought you heard something? Hallucination. I would also direct your attention to the case recently of the young woman who got high, apparently not something she was accustomed to, and stabbed her boyfriend to death, stabbing him over 100 times. The court accepted her argument of cannabis induced psychosis and she only got two years of probation, for brutally murdering someone. Which is absolutely pitiful when if you get in your car so mindless drunk you have no idea where you are or what you are doing and kill someone, you will still be held fully accountable because you chose to drink the alcohol and are responsible for your actions. But the court accepted her argument based on medical testimony, and even if no hallucinations were involved, if bong hits can put you into a psychotic state where you will brutally murder someone and mutilate yourself before they can restrain you, I fully believe that it can cause you to see or hear things that don't actually exist. And of course in my own extensive experience with weed in the past I definitely experienced mild hallucinations, like suddenly thinking I heard someone say my name, etc. Not that I expect affirmed Weed Believers to accept anything that doesn't conform with their religion that cannabis is not only totally harmless, it's a positive good and anyone using it must be a harmless and decent person who would never harm anyone, that if we all just spent all of our time stoned into stupidity the world would just become a utopia, and probably most of our ills and sicknesses would be healed by the Miraculous Properties of the panacea cannabis, which can not be doubted.

I was bought up in a Lutheran church, went to a private Lutheran school after being bullied at my previous high school, only to be bullied worse by Lutheran kids, I survived a lot, a lot, a lot, I gave up on life, I hit rock bottom a few times, saw the other side, made a choice that I had to fight back, made more mistakes but I got it together, my kids saved my life, gave me so much purpose. My belief isn't about the religion or the church, but love, family, kindness and living your best life. I'm sick of people doing horrible things and believing in the above gives them a pass. As a Christian myself, I too believe Jesus has a sense of humor as God created us all and everything in this world including humor. Having said that, it's sad to see how much religion has pushed people away from God. The biggest part of my journey has a believer, has been battling through all of the negative consequences of religion. You can believe in Christ without following the Christian religion. Religion is man-made and mostly nonsense. Nowhere in the Bible does it call you to be religious or Christian. Having faith in Christ and being saved is not the same thing as claiming to be Christian or following the Christian religious cringe-worthy practices that a lot of people do.
