I always believed this was a last ditch attempt to kill someone when I read the books. I imagined her wrestling someone and, without a weapon, biting the person's throat because she had no other option and this is how she won the games. I never got the impression that it was repeated behaviour to entertain the capitol audience. That's an interesting take but I don't think that's how the author intended it to be read.

And the fact that she got her teeth filed into points only makes this even more likely. It’s like Brutus. It’s not like he didn’t intend the mole to eat that tribute, he knew what he was doing.

@@TransparentEclipse Not that the movies really count or trump the books but anyway...in the movie Catching Fire, Katniss asks about her teeth and Haymitch responds that she had them filed down into fangs to tear people's throats out...however, it's never stated that she tore multiple peoples' throats out during the games or if she even did it to anyone after the games. You're simply inferring this based on Haymitch's ambiguous choice of grammar. Also, that thing with Brutus and the mole was fan-fiction 😂 It's not actually canon. It's fun and it's entertaining but still, it's not the work of Suzanne Collins so it doesn't really count.

@@skippy8696 I’m aware, I like to think of this universe as the real universe and Suzanne Collins works to not exist because I prefer these more, however now looking back at it, yes it said that she did it so she could tear ppls throats out, but that to me sounds like she’s already done it before, at least once, and that also doesn’t sound like it’s a last ditch attempt to kill someone. If she got them sharpened, that seems like it’s the primary focus, not the last ditch.

Note: It’s pretty widely theorized and concluded that Gloss was a rebellious victor who refused to many of Snow’s orders, which then led to his sister being reaped the following year in an attempt to bring revenge on him. However, this did not work as Cashmere then won the following years games. Neither of them were thought to volunteer during the 75th Hunger Games, and they described in the interview as each other being the only family they had, implying that their living relatives were possibly killed off by Snow. Also, Haymitch mentions (in the movie, can’t remember if he did in the books) that they were some of the victors rhat would do anything to stop the games. Snow purposely put the two in the games to kill off them for being problematic victors. I’m mentioning this because it seems like it goes against the idea that people from district 1 always have several willing volunteers (since it is widely theorized that Cashmere has not volunteered, but was reaped to take revenge upon Gloss), and also that there was no mention that Gloss was a problematic victor when you finished the story. That being said, I’m just being nit picky - I love your videos and they’re extremely well done and I really enjoy watching them 😊

Dan Chander I don’t think they necessarily have to be part of the alliance to be problematic victors. They could very well be problematic and still not be trustworthy enough to invite in on the rebel plan. They seem like the kind of people that are against the games, but they want to save their own skin first, and that’s too risky to invite in on the rebel alliance.

Remember that Districts 1 and 2 have many more victors than the other districts due to the prominence of the career packs so I think it would've been more difficult to force Gloss and Cashmere into the 75th HG if there are other living victors from District 1 as well (as opposed to Katniss and Johanna who were the only living victors from their districts) Because of this I think Cashmere and Gloss were fairly reaped for the quarter quell but felt very betrayed by the Capitol after being loyal to them for many years which is why they both sounded desperate during their interviews The only career that volunteered for the quarter quell was Brutus, everyone else did not want to return to the arena

Congrats on the new job ! Also I really love how you include what happens to the victors after the games! Edit: Also could you potentially do an arena based on the 4 seasons ? For example, the arena would be on quadrants and each quadrant had dangers associated with the season ? (Winter - hail, blizzards, etc. Summer - wildfires, drought, etc.) and depending on what quadrant you go into + whatever you grab from the cornucopia highly determines if you’ll do well or not? Ty! I love Justin and Clearfell. My heart melt when Justin at first was depressed because of his imminent death, but then his meeting with Clearfell makes him laugh and feel better. It was so terrible to see them fighting in the end. It's a shame Clearfell death and how Justin's life became a piece of garbage after the games. That's why the Hunger Games are terrible (but here I am, "watching" and rotting lol). Festus Creed, really? lol. What a nice surprise. I wonder why he retired after Justin's interview: it was the shame or some sympathy for the boy? My wishes are for the last, but my instincts say the first one. In my opinion, Festus can't feel both, but I knew his eighteen years old version, maybe I'm wrong. Now I'm listening to the 62 HG, and I liked the proposal of a pre Hunger Games to choose the tribute. It's unfair, but at least the tribute is more ready to kill in the games. I'm liking how volunteering in the career districts increased and it's kinda funny that this happened because of the poor Plato with the bamboos (sorry if I mistake the name). And it's nice to see more about the career alliance and the tension between the districts. Also, mayor Plinth? Now I miss my baby Sejanus. Fuck you, Snow. Lucy Gray's snake should have been very poisoned lol. I have this habit of pause and comment, but for now, I'll post this comment about what I saw until now. Edit: I laugh when Enobaria was a bit shocked because of the District 1 female sadism. Edit: omg Tigris dated Gloss lol

Caitlyn Langer, actually, the 76 hunger games was what the rebels called it when they were in the capitol dodging peacekeepers, and pods, but they weren’t really hunger games. Also, the “capitol games” were something that the remaining 6 victors (Katniss, Peeta, Haymitch, Johanna, Annie, and Enobaria) voted for. They were supposed to be the last hunger games ever to happen, and they would take place in an arena with capitol children as tributes. At that point the series ends, so I don’t think that the reclamation of 88’ is in the original storyline, more likely it is just another one of Christian Blanco’s BRILLIANT ideas. Ahhh I'm gonna rewatch your version of the 61st hunger games again and again and again. I'm so glad I finally got to watch how Justin won the hunger games *internal happy screaming* (especially because I've been waiting for how he had won for God knows how long) But eee the 61st hunger games was sooo amazing to listen to... I couldn't have possibly imagined how good you made it, especially because I loved the 44th and 55th so much, but man this absolutely beats all other hunger games Because ha I was tearing up so much at the end I think it's very clear now who the best victor will always be Also - haha 6 & 9 Also also - I kind of had a very rough hunger games fan story where I thought up a district 9 victor who specialised in the scythe, so I laughed when I saw the scythes (finally) being included in a hunger games. (Also it might not be so rough lol I designed her chariot costume and also planned for the games she won to be the 68th, and gave her a generic nickname) Whoa this was a mouthful :)

I would LOVE to read a fully fleshed out book (or books) from you like an almost parallel universe version. You are EXTREMELY talented and imaginative....I mean these videos are so detailed and descriptive that it is truly jaw dropping and awe inspiring! And the little teasing sneak peeks of what happened after the 2nd rebellion.....those lil tid bits have me praying, hoping, wishing...and now STRAIGHT BEGGING for more info, if not for a FULLY FLESHED OUT STORY or BOOK(S)!! Thank you for this....as there hasn't been much like this like there was for "Harry Potter". And while I do like and enjoy visiting and learning about "Harry Potter's" world. I was always drawn to, fascinated by and curious about the world of Katniss and Panem....it was the ONLY ONE that I TRULY wondered what happened after the end of the books/movies....and I was ALWAYS wondering the backstories of the characters....no matter how inconsequential they were....and while there is a channel that does this for the MAIN/MOST LIKED/MOST DISLIKED characters....bit they only do A VERY FEW of the characters on the edges....even though a good many of them were intregul to the plot.... So this...this is like my "UNICORN 🦄 dipped in GOLD "... because this type of stuff with The Hunger Games as the subject is VERY BEYOND HARD TO FIND....and MANY THINK DON'T ACTUALLY EXIST!

@@tomasmillen you do realise that nearly all of these had been made up and the events during said games may have never happened. Either way, this creator's fiction is gripping, engaging and it was also discussed both in the books and movie about putting on a symbolic game using the capitol's children. Once again like most details, it isn't confirmed whether they took place or not and it would be an interesting concept to cover. But if u don't wanna hear or think about how it might theoretically go and what twists are put in then so be it. Because there could be no victor this year and the final tribute could just get blown up by their tracker. But still, that may have "never happened" but unless you're Suzanne Collins then you cannot confirm that didn't happen.

justins story sounds so much like peeta's story because they both were good at camoflauging themselves and had a lover. Their lover wanted to go to the feast but justin and peeta said no. The only difference is that peeta would die for katniss but justin killed the clearfall boy
