Arrow is doing Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, and Freddy vs. Jason. Remember those little art cards that came with Trick or Treat last fall? I hope that someone does the Elm Street remake as well. I personally like that movie, and there is always SOMEONE out there who that might be their favorite film in the franchise. Let’s do the entire franchise justice.

They announced the complete series on blu ray here in germany a few years ago, but the release was ultimately shelved in favor of a partial, cheap DVD release, that only contained the episodes that were dubbed in german. So we only got less than half of the episodes in standard definition quality (16 out of 44). They stopped dubbing (and airing) them after 16 episodes due to poor ratings.

I just hope that there’s proper extras. The Elm Street 4K just ported over everything that had already been released, and while it is a lot, we know there’s a ton of stuff that they chose not to include. There are four deleted scenes that used to be available on an extra VHS back in the day that have still never been seen on digital. There are tons and tons of outtakes that they’ve still never put out. so I hope when it comes to the sequels, they take care of us and give us some new featurettes, maybe some commentary tracks and some deleted material, not just an extra 10 seconds of Movie Gore

At the bare minimum there should be commentaries for the sequels. Only the original and New Nightmare have some as of now.

I agree it’s surprising these are all hitting 4K before the Friday the 13th series. Elm Street has been treated so poorly on home video over the years compared to Friday the 13th and Halloween. I wonder if it’ll include Elm Street 2010.

This is great news!! They need to get Freddy's Nightmares back out there too, even if it's DVD-only and the rubbish quality that tape-edited filmed material from that era lands us with! I know a Blu-ray upgrade would be prohibitively expensive, even if the original film materials still exist! A 4K release, Freddy's Nightmares and starting to reissue of all the books and comics would be amazing.

It shouldn't be a problem. I believe the Craven estate only holds the rights to the first film and the rest of the series belongs to Warner Brothers.

Zavvi's shipping is terrible. I used to get stuff damaged all the time because they refuse to ship steelbooks in a box and their customer service is abysmal.

They were waiting to see how the first film sold. Because New Line ('The House That Freddy Built') is no longer independent and merely a subdivision of a corporation, there's no one left who understands what the Elm Street films mean to a huge demographic. That first film tested the water. Loads of us bought the film and that's led to the box set. That sales exceeded expectations so spectacularly has meant they're going to go the extra mile!!

in canada before the Friday part 2 4k came out we got the pre order for the us and uk copy's. if the French set come with all in cases with slips I will get. Because I speak French so it's a win. but if the us/ca on is ok. then I might get that one.

I am just happy to have Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street as a stand-alone release and have no interest in any others. Like Casey said in Wes Craven's Scream about the franchise "Well the first one is but the rest sucked". With all that said, I am still happy an iconic franchise is finally getting the attention and respect it has deserved

I saw comments on dawn of the discs posts complaining because they have to double dip after buying the first one. I knew when I bought the first one that if it didn't sell well we wouldn't get any of the others. Not only did I buy it, I bought two of The Ultimate Collector's Editions. It looks like we're getting what we wanted, and as they say better late than never, I will gladly triple dip for this one. My only hope for this set is that each film at least has its own disc. Instant pre-order for sure!

The only thing that matters to me is that each film has their own disc. Could care less about artwork I’m already preparing myself for a letdown and it doesn’t matter to me because their are shops that I can easily get a better custom box set from and even cases for each film.

Honestly I could care less about 4k Picture quality. If the set comes with a lot of cool features and or unrated cuts for most of them then I will pick it up. But if most of them are the same with old features then I won't waste my money. Far as the remake goes I think it sucks but if they are doing the rest may as well throw it in to. Hell put some of the deleted footage that was never released on the disk. The uncut version of part 5 better be included lol.

I'm not buying the same movies 80 times over just for slightly upgraded picture quailty. I already own the Bluray collection and the DVD collection im not buying yet another for no other reason then slightly higher picture rate that would be silly.
