I'm glad I'm not the only one who considers HALLOWEEN III one of the best of the whole series. What really screwed the movie over at the box office were the so called HALLOWEEN "fans". Carpenter really wanted to make the series a sort of anthology movie, and they wanted Michael Myers back, and to hell with with what Carpenter, the God of HALLOWEEN franchise. I thought the first half of Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN was very good, with an alternate take on Michael's childhood and his first kills, while the second half was just a rushed retread of Carpenter's 1978 original. Malcolm McDowell stole the show as Dr Loomis, and his amoral attitude and using Michael Myers murder sprees to ca$h in. His HALLOWEEN II I thought was a totally brilliant masterpiece, and explored in depth the psychology and psychopathology of the adult Michael. As for HALLOWEEN ENDS, I would have had Michael doing the killing through the movie, with Corey at the end taking in Michael's evil, and becoming the new Shape of evil, and start a new film series with Corey as the shape.

Every Halloween film excluding Ends is Grade C and up . Ends is a F+ seems like there is alot of fans scared to put that movie in the bowels of hell where it belongs but if you like it ok then . 78 and 81 both get perfect grades for me . Controversial picks ... Halloween 6 Grade A... RZH2 Grade A ... Ressurection gets a C it's moved up my list since Ends has come out . And Kills most definitely cause of James Jude Courtney gets a A+ for me . 4 and 5 And 2018 B grades. Halloween 3 a B- with RZH1. See I'm a fan of Micheal Myers that's what matters to me in a Halloween movie . This change everything campaign is going to RUIN Horror I believe . Change is ok as long as you stick with what made you a popular Horror Franchise with a Iconic Slasher as Micheal Myers is. Ddg was the wrong guy for the job this past trioligy that's my opinion ,Adam Wingard was the guy and instead we got stuck with DDG and McBride ugh.. The Guest is a A+ movie that's what Adam could of brought to the Halloween franchise . Micheal Myers played by James Jude Courtney and Christopher Nelson fx effects specialist are the stars of the Legacy trioligy without them this trioligy would of been really bad.

The original Halloween is definitely a perfect film and one of the best horror films of all time and I agree that Halloween two is an A+ even though I wanted to put it in the perfect section I agree it's not as good as the original Halloween three is great but I would put it in the A+ section I agree with you on Halloween four that one was always one of my favorites so that is an A+ I can't give Halloween five a high rating but I will still give it a C+ and the same goes for Halloween six The Curse Of Michael Myers C+ H20 I haven't seen yet so it's hard to rate it Halloween Resurrection is definitely a D+ Rob Zombie's Halloween gets a B+ I prefer it over Halloween two which is a D+ for me I gave it another chance but I still didn't care for it Halloween 2018 gets a C+ the movie wasn't what I wanted and then Halloween Kills gets a B+ it's got flaws but it's still a fun movie with great kills and finally Halloween Ends is a D+ I didn't like the direction in the movie and didn't like the Corey Cunningham story line plus the kills were not as good as Halloween Kills

Another great vid. When Rob Zombie's Halloween II came out, I hated it. Myers was not what I was used to. Loomis was a dick... etc. But over the years, it's definitely went up the ranks for me. I'm a huge fan of Rob's first Halloween and this one stands right beside it for me. Even above some of the legacy films. John Carpenter's Halloween and Halloween II 1981 are still king for me though. Followed CLOSELY by Halloween III :)

For me it's Halloween 1,3,4, and 5. my "tier" ranking would be 1.Halloween [1978]. 2.Halloween 3. 3.Halloween 4. 4.Halloween 5. The rest including Rob Zombie's remake is "I aint watching it. Who cares?" Although I do genuinely despise the Green/Mcbride trilogy. From a writing stand point. I do not like Halloween 2. Last time I watched it I watched it as a double bill with the original and I was like "Damn was that a dull way to end the night." Which is how I always feel after watching Friday the 13th 1-7 in a marathon. I end with 7 and it just feels like "I love the movie despite the problems...but damn what a dull way to end the marathon." for the simple fact that the censored gore is sticks out like a sore thumb. Never liked part 2 even as a kid. I'd see it on TV. I'd watch some of it on Halloween night before changing the channel and watching Nickelodeon's Halloween specials. Just never really liked it. Last time I watched it though...the fact that Laurie was confined to a hospital bed the entire movie was my biggest complaint. I last watched Halloween 2 back in....either 2011 or 2012. But I did decide to watch it this year to try and give it a chance. I thought Dr.Loomis was wasted. Laurie again wasted. The only time I enjoyed the movie was the therapy pool scene because I was like "It's actually feeling like a 70's/80's slasher." Didn't care about the characters what so ever. The music wasn't handled right. I just found it so average and boring. I do love the Sand man song. Also didn't watch Halloween 4 for quite a few years, but I rewatched it again in like 2016. Really really good....my only complaint about Halloween 4 [other then Michael magically teleporting near the end during the truck ride.] is some of the camera angles and Michael's appearance and mask and this year that was more obvious and apparent. Especially when he grabs the shotgun from Brady and then drops it off from the stairs. Terrible camera angle because of Michael's posture. Plus just not a good mask. I still love the look of the film. I love the opening. Probably my favorite Halloween opening credits. I love Michael at the gas station. I love Dr.Loomis in the movie. I haven't watched Halloween 5 since like 2007? 2008? So just like part 2 I'm going to rewatch it but next year for my Halloween. I always liked it despite the mute telepathy which is just weird and awkward. Even annoying. Should of never had that in the movie. The opening with Michael being taken care of by that old guy for a year and then suddenly on Halloween night Michal wakes up. The ending at the Myers house which is in no way even remotely like the original house. The humor never bothered me and Danielle Harris is still good as Jamie. So hopefully I'll enjoy it next year and find another appreciation for it like I did part 4. Still can't find an appreciation for 2 though,lol. My mom and my grandfather both liked Rob Zombie's Halloween. Which is weird because of the age difference...like "I am younger then you and you like this movie? No me?" I don't hate it...to me it's "Take it or leave it." I watched in the theaters with my mom when it first came out and I was replaying the entire film in my head afterwards. Evaluating it. Even walking out the theaters I had the same opinion regardless. It's okay...I don't hate it. Just average. After my grandmother kicked my brother and I out of the house after my mom died. She finally got what she wanted. Personally I was thankful because it felt like a weight on my chest had been lifted. Like "Thank god...I don't have to deal with her emotional abuse anymore." But she sent me some of my grandfather's DVDs I didn't take. One of them was Jeepers Creepers which I won't watch because....you know Victor Salva and the other is Rob Zombie's Halloween which I just don't really have any interest in rewatching. Anyway. Interesting ranking. I'm off to watch my Thanksgiving/Christmas movies.

Halloween ends does not bother you as much as a really die hard Halloween Michael Myers fan of the series like you know if this was Freddy's dead lol 2022 you might feel different. If they put Freddie Krueger which they can't in a fucking trash compactor you would be pissed off lol

Interesting listing, but no way is Resurrection the worst Halloween movie because of Busta Rhymes! Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 will forever occupy that position. The movie just had too much weird satanic imagery for my tastes with the upside down cross on Laurie’s forehead and the pentagram with the three sixes in the bedroom. That’s not something I’ve never ever been a fan of. And Halloween Ends is the next worst of all time. Resurrection gets a hard time because Busta kicked Michael out a window, but NOTHING and I mean NOTHING beats weak Corey Cunningham walking up to Michael and snatching the mask right off his face after kicking his butt! That ain’t got nothing on Busta now or ever! I would place Resurrection in the C grade and Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 in the F grade. Halloween Ends would get a C grade too!
