@@deepukompara Hinduism is the base of bharath. The swastika symbol of prosperity is also seen in indus seal the word bharath itself is hindu. Bharath Matha is goddesses parvathy an aspect of shakti. From Hinduism came bhuddhist jain Sikhs philosophy. Hence these are 4 pillars of dharma emanate in Indian soil. The word "bharatha varsh" is found in mahabaratha a hindu epic.

Before 1700 there used thousands of Gurukula in india providing 18 different subjects while in Britain it was total of 240 schools which educating only bible which I respect cz it's a divine book but in terms of variety of knowledge India was far ahead.

Sardar Patel brought 562 princely states into Indian constitution. It obviously means these were not under British rule, but was greatly influenced by Lord Mount baton. If British didn't rule them, it means gurukula system must have been prevalent in those states. Then what happened ? How did it vanish into thin air after 1947 ? Just checked on google. The Brahmins, the Kshatriyas and the Vaishya students were admitted to the Gurukul . What about others ? Had it not been for the Christian missionaries, only a few would have got the opportunity to study in schools and colleges in India. Even in present day Hindu schools, live DAV, etc takes in only those who score very high marks- above 90%. There is a wrong narrative propagated by IT Cell that Christians do force conversion. Britishers came in 1600 and left in 1947. The first census showed the percentage of Christians to be 2.3 %. In over 300 years they could only convert 2.3% ? To top it ,Christianity came to Kerala in 52 AD. This 2.3 % includes them ! So please don't believe in the hatred that's being spread. Mind you, it was East India Company, a trading company , came to India to make super duper profits . Of course their religion was Christianity. Its like Amazon stores of today. The christian missionaries came as they knew trading companies would take advantage of illiterate people. So they set up schools and colleges. Where all were welcome, it was not for selected few only. They invented a new language, called HINDI, coalesced from 6-7 central India dialects. They brought in printing press and started newspapers in many vernacular languages. The contributions by missionaries cannot be told in a few lines.

Anyone becoming a Christian, has to *donate money to church* and not the otherway around. It is with this money all the good works are done by the church. In Hinduism you have the liberty to worship the deity chosen by you . In contrast , in the Abrahamic religions , you have to worship the deity chosen by somebody else. For this reason, for the last two thousand years India welcomed all religions and gave asylum to other religious people who underwent religious persecution in their countries ; like Syrian Christians , Jews , Parsys , Tibetan Buddhists etc. The history of Abrahamic religions is religious persecution , violence , forceful conversions , destruction of holy places of other religious people etc. This shows the difference between Hinduism and other religions .

It's true, his disciples didn't understand Jesus when he was with them prior to his crucifixion . During Jesus trails, apostles had deserted him. there's a difference between Christianity and institutionalized Christianity. Because until Abrahamic religions exist, peace can't be in society. Their main motive is to convert others to either Christian or Islam so that huge population can give political benifits. Once you get out from these two religion, either will be atheist or in a peaceful religion. It's his duty to aware people and guide them in right path. Hinduism is not just about doing worships of god. If you will understand it then you will find a way to live and let live in a better way. I hope I didn't offended you by my answer.

@@devphotography1238 Thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate it since most people don't have an answer to that question and I'm really struggling to understand the use of study, when all the answers seem to be intrinsic, within us already. I was just wondering because the kindest people I know, those who do the most good in the world and seem to have the purest souls don't follow any religion, not even Hinduism, but are merely 'spiritual' in some sense. There's a much bigger truth that none of the limited religions can grasp.

@@annap.974 Kindness comes from Heart and soul with your surroundings. One hand there is a butcher who has learnt to cut animals, another hand there is a monk who never killed animal. Now imagine that if they have to fight with someone then who would do much violence? Hinduism is not a religion to follow blindly, Its about to learn the how to live a better life. Modern day Yoga is very popular. Is there any civilization which had yoga? Thr answer is No. But we had in our culture. We had astrology of that level which no scientist can still reveal. So Our Religion is not just a religion of worship. If we should forget old thing then how Yoga could help millions of people? How our medical system could adjust will modern system for new innovation. For learning Indian astrology still foreigners comes to India for study. If we don't have much knowledge of ancient time then it does not mean that we should forget it. Foreigners burned library why? Because they wanted to do the same thing which our generation is doing now to forget the treasure of ancient knowledge. If you don't belive in god then it's fine, our religion doesn't kick them out. Because we still have so much to offer apart from worshiping god.

I'm saying that because I know you have good heart that's why you talked about to do good things. But you are missing some More deeper knowledge which can make you more knowledgeable person. Those who has learnt vedic knowledge, if they won't pass the knowledge to others then time will come when there will be only chaos. @@devphotography1238 I'm not sure if these points are valid arguments as at least Christians seem to be persecuted in India. (There's so much poverty, violence and suffering and tonnes of problems the country cannot solve, but cultural and political aspects seem to be a topic for another day.) As for ancient civilizations, e.g. Shamanic traditions all over the world are much older and had their own form of astrology and healing methods, etc. As for Yoga as an argument, the Chinese have Tai Chi and Qigong, countless other cultures have their own forms of healing combination of body, mind and soul. If indeed, there's a spiritual aspect to Hinduism that cannot be found anywhere else, this would be interesting. However, ultimately, all ancient spiritual traditions speak of the same ultimate truth. I'm honestly looking forward to read the Geeta though! Once again, thank you so much.
