ChatGPT and a wealth of free resources available today, going to college seems like a very foolish idea for those who aren't serious about learning.

This really helped me understand the effects engine. I come from a background in EOS, and I have been put behind an MA2 on PC with a command wing recently, and this was such a huge help! Thanks and I will continue to watch all your videos to help me understand MA better! Also...can't wait for my hoodie to arrive!!

For all us pesky Chamsys users: they finally released "center in" and "center out" preset directions in their latest stable release. Same effect as the MA2 wing trick. There was a way doing this manually, I know I know, now it's just a bit easier to do and can be applied else than just circle effect. Also new color picker. \o/

fuckin finally
@FormatDub7 жыл бұрын
I always did this making a sym selection and changing the direction to invert odd/even with 2segs.. Just still waiting for the execute features to be released as stable! They're awesome.. Be great if MA had the spread feature of the Chamsys rather than manually having to input phase values..

Left click on the top portion of the exec, then an window will apper somewhere... In the bottom right of that windows, you need to change the "Empty" to Special Master - then scroll down, open speed masters and select with ever you want!

Majd Bishara same, but I allways making shows on PC with visualizators, but my dream is be real life programmer for big festivals, I don't know how to start this way..
@aame66437 жыл бұрын
Are the applications you are using free? and is it easy or hard for someone who doesn't know shit like me?
@Grimberg1117 жыл бұрын
Majd Bishara As Jackson has said, MA2 PC software is free and Chamsys PC software is free (not sure if he has said the later though in his FAQ video). Both have built-in visualizers and there are basically two ways to learn the programming part: hard and very hard. You can read the manual(s) or if you want to cheat, there are great tutorials on the internet like this video above. Manuals have the upside that they cover all functions of the desk and tell you from the ground up how the desk works. In tutorial way you have to figure out lots of things yourself many times, because the tutorial videos many times skip things. Well of course there is the third way of getting to school, but by your messages I get the feeling that schools are not an option.
@aame66437 жыл бұрын

Why do you set the Low Value of the dimmer effect to -40? What sense does it make to set this value below 0?
@christianjackson3 жыл бұрын
Because the waveform references those values. It can change the entire look of the effect depending on what kind of waveform you use. If a sine wave was going between -400 and 100 it would look much different from 0 to 100.

Why do you use the actual software but do you have each on PC command wings
@joshgregoire7 жыл бұрын
Jack Collins - the commands wings are just a big mouse that provides shortcuts to commands. It essentially “unlocks” the software to allow you to output DMX.

So there's an event coming up next summer where we're gonna have a GrandMA onPC command wing in our school for tha and i'm really looking forward to using that beauty. I tried my best in programming some effects but i still felt like needing some help.For fixtures we're gonna have 6x clay paky k10, 6x Martin mac viper, 2x Stairville Mh-100, 2x Robe Wash 250-xt, 2x Martin Atomic 3000, 4x Stairville LED Bar 240, 4x Stairville Led Floodpanel, 2x Stairville Stageflood, 2x Arri L7-C 1x L7-T and about 20x Led floor pars (not yet sure which exactly). Theres gonna be a dinner, then some slow dancing and then an EDM Party. Our truss is gonna be a 4x4x6m cube and two quarter circles coming down the side. I would love to hear back from you if you could kinda help me a little! bye bye for now thanks for making really helpful videos!!!!!!
