And, Eucharist Adoration is such a blessing from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Fr Columbus this is how I learned about the real presence of our Lord in the Eucharist. At the time I was a cautious agnostic who ask/prayed to understand the mass. On the 7th of October 1997 St James church , Medjugorje at the morning mass the following happened. During the consecration as the Priest held up the Host , I saw these tiny gold & orange droplets start raining down through the ceiling of the church onto the altar. (dew fall) Then Later when my gaze had been redirected away from the congregation to the high rosary window, I knew people had started to receive communion not because I sensed them moving but rather I felt it. I had this unbelievable wave of joy which started at my mouth and radiated down my body to my feet. So intense the feeling that as I stood there gazing up when tears of joy just started pouring down my face.I had this fix smile on my face like that of a groom on his wedding day! Wave after wave, hundreds of times, as the church was packed! I wish I could just touch people for a moment that they too might experience this joy, unimaginable. (I later came to understand that it was our Lords joy as we present ourselves to receive him.) Importantly note, that I had been to confession for the first time in 30 years the day before. The Lord lead me there and made it clear to me that this or any other graces would not have been bestowed on me until I did. Thank you for reading this small snippet of my conversion, which I offer to share how cool and real God is, I had no clue that I just needed to invite him in! God bless

@@JMJlove316 Thank you, this was a far cry from the 6 days earlier when I struggled to enter the church, physically trembling as it was for holy Catholic people not me. I had no clue! God bless

One of the really cool things about St. Ignatius's writings is how early they are. His famous letter written while he was embarked to Rome is dated AD 110, which is only fourteen years after John is reported to have wrote Revelations while at Patmos.

Father.. Thank you so much for your podcasts. One thing that has been truly bothering me is my husband, who is not Catholic but is going through RICA is going through the annulment process. My parish priest has told me, I am not welcome to receive Communion until Mark’s annulment is complete. My faith is the greatest gift my parents gave me. It is what has truly sustained me and I am so focused on my prayers but do not feel sustained without receiving the Eucharist at Mass.

I am grateful for your excellent videos. I have leaned much from you, Father. In this video, I appreciate your ability to articulate clearly why the Eucharist is fundamental to our salvation in a manner that does NOT speak down to those who disagree with you. Rather, you offer a friendly, "check it out," with recommended readings. You clearly have a heart to lead people to salvation through kindness, humidity, and truthful conversation. Blessings,

Thank you Father. After coming into Catholicism after 20yrs since I was in a Catholic school I am now thinking about these things in a completely different light. I never understood that in mass we say hosanna because it's Jesus coming to the alter to be sacrificed, or that we say we are not worthy in reference to the Centurion etc.

I went through Catholic School in my youth. Sadly the True Presence was Not well taught at all, in fact many big things like that were not taught. Why? not to sure... But I tell you... When I learned about it.. It was the start of my return to the Faith and Truly being a practicing Catholic. I credit the jump start to learning that it wasn't just a symbol. It DOES make a difference!

Father - my heart hurts with every US Catholic Church I enter where the Tabernacle is NOT front and center but off on an unseen wing near the altar and named in some cases a Blessed Sacrament Chapel. Not sure if that’s a global trend or when / where it started. To have a Blessed Sacrament Chapel is not unheard of but in recent past, that coexisted in a smaller chapel, with the Tabernacle front and center in the Sanctuary. The BSC was normally used for Eucharistic adoration or smaller / private Masses. Now it is THE presence of our Lord and to those visiting those churches, they have to hold a scavenger hunt to find our Lords presence in the Eucharist. The Cathedral of the Diocese of El Paso and many El Paso parishes have moved our Lord out of the Sanctuary and out of the primary place to behold him. This seems like a new and disconcerting trend for a Church in the midst of a Eucharistic Revival and a flock who state over 60% profess they don’t believe in the real and substantial presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Many of our Shepherds seem unserious about catechizing the doubters and disbelievers in THE central tenet of Catholicism.
