25th December was the birthday of Mithras the sun god of Rome and Greece and his holy day of the week was the day of the sun Sunday. It was introduced to christianity after the council of Nicaea in AD 325 by the former pagan Emperor of Rome, Constantine. Check it out.

Your comments after Shaik Deedad's speech are logic less. If Jesus peace be upon him's birthday was not on the 25th of December, then you shouldn't celebrate as his birthday. You may celebrate it as a commemoration day if you wish. But celebrating it as his birthday is like telling a big lie in the name of Jesus peace be upon him. Wake up people and long for the truth without any prejudice or pre assumptions. Ask the only Creator with full sincerity and He shall guide you.

The seasons work by hemisphere’s. Everyone in the northern hemisphere has the same winter. Meaning in America, Europe, and Middle East where Jesus was born. It was summer the same time all the countries in the northern hemisphere. Secondly why did you say Israel when Israel didn’t exist until 1947, Jesus was born in Palestine not Israel.

Not a matter of choice. One cannot agree on a birthday of another when the another consider it as a lie against him. Spiritually a man has no right to change what God has ordered. Nor add to it. That's why God revealed so many books to correct man's error. Freedom of choice without minding the law (human's law or God's law) is a recipe for consequences in this life (i.e breaking man's law) or in the hereafter plus in this life ( i.e God's law). Think about this: If i call you vincent while your name is john, even though you've told me several times to call you by your birthname, will you be happy, when i tell you that it makes me happy to call you vincent?. The consequences of that is that in the long run no one will remember that your name is actually vincent. Not even your progeny in about 30 t0 50 yrs time.
