They asked her about the perpetrator by mentioning some names of those who could have done that to her. They captured him, and he confessed that he had killed her in order to steal silver jewelry which she was wearing. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that he should be killed in exactly the same manner in which he killed that girl in retaliation for her.
