What can we consider to be the essential difference in this "message of the cross" and the one Swaggart claims God gave him in 1992? My question is not in any way meant to be disrespectful.

eflint1 the difference is in the realm of the Holy Spirit. Bro. Swaggart in 1997 the Lord revealed to him that the Holy Spirit only works in our lives only by means of the cross and our faith in it. So the message he now preaches is the same message just as it regards to our sanctification and every day living
