A beautiful song by Christina, wonderfully sung. One of my favourites. Have you reacted to the Madonna video you missed yet, Oh Father, from 1989. I mentioned before that it wasn't on your list as it wasn't a single in the UK but was in the US and other countries as her main single release. It's one of her best. and is a personal subject for her. The video is beautifully filmed. Very powerful song.

Maybe you are not a vocal teacher😉,but I think her voice also is worth deeper analyze,because it`s amazing🎙🎶👌It`s said ,she has one of the best voices in music industry (al least pop music😉) comparing with Mariah Carey or even Whitney Houston🎤🤩 and she`s definitely more talented than Britney Spears (although didn`t make as huge career or become as famous as Brtiney,but of course she`s successful too 😉 Her voice is almost created to such ballads (another ones are for eg. "Hurt" or "Voice within"🎙🎶,). Regarding lyrics, I read that Christina comes from family, where she didn`t feel fully loved and accepted😏 Her father worked in army💂 and was very "raw" to her (maybe even abusive🤔😟),so the lyric :" You couldn`t keep your hands to yourself" might be actualy about domestic violence😟,but I`m not sure😏 Thanks for this song`s reaction ,anyway😉and I`m waiting for more Christina Aguilera`s songs😉🎶🎧💞

Her father was indeed very abusive, that s why xtina and her mother run away from him. You lost me is a heartbreak song, but there is some very emotional songs where she sings about her father and domestic violence issues on her upbringing (I'm Ok, Oh Mother and No Es Que Te Extrane)

@@monia866 yes, she's part latin due to her father being ecuadorian. She has two spanish albums (both received latin grammys), Mi Reflejo (2000) and Aguilera (2022) and has several other spanish songs released throughout her carrer. Some of her best ballads are in spanish (Pero Me Acuerdo de Ti, Contigo En La Distancia, Si No Te Hubiera Conocido, Somos Nada)

A very interesting fact about this song is that it's usually interpreted as being from the perspective of someone who is cheated on, but Xtina herself sang it live a few times and lyrics to "I couldn't keep my hands to myself", lending to an understanding that she is the one who cheated on her husband despite what the original lyrics say. I also once read something about the song being more "good" Christina singing to "bad" Christina, sort of like an inner dialogue, instead of cheated to cheater, so to speak
