You definitely didn't hear Britney sing back when she was a child. Britney's voice was a little similar to Christina's voice back when she was a child. She used to have that deep big voice just like Christina. However due to her label in pop music to which she was signed in, she was forced to sing in that baby voice which is what we hear nowadays which is not her natural voice. Ot really damages Britney's natural voice.

I came across this by accident listening to the original, Brenda Lee, a favorite of my parents and eventually, mine. I was blown away.
