Here is the thing; I think hybe geuinely took this risk after they saw that EPATBBW (you already know the title lets be real) blew up on tiktok over unforgiven and realized that sometimes doing a different vibe than what is "traditional" for a title track could be an amazing thing. Bsides are just SONGS. In the west singles can be any kind of vibe from pop to rock to r&b and I feel kpop is finally shifting towards being able to have multiple songs be the focus. In 2nd gen days if it wasn't the title track it would maybe get like 1 or 2 stages and then the company wouldn't show it again until the asian tour that we western fans had to wait to be uploaded onto youtube. This is the positive thing that I feel the newer generation has popularized which is giving more time to the good songs they do actually produce 🎉

I've been watching ya'll for a solid while now that I'm surprised I wasn't subscribed this whole time. That's my bad I'm so sorry 😅😂 I'm really happy the girlies came back with this sound for the title!! I'm actually not much of a fan of the stereotypical upbeat kpop. An example of this is Red Velvet: I have a major preference for their velvet songs over the red songs that they usually have as their comebacks. So I love this vibe! It's so funny how in western music culture if an artist put out this song the fans wouldn't question it but in the kpop scene a lot of fans won't like it because it doesn't "sound" like kpop or they consider it as B-side material. That's not about ya'll though, it's just a mindset I see within the kpop fandom in general.
