they may not write their shit but they for sure know how to deliver their lines exactly as needed. and you can’t really fault them for that cause English isn’t their first language + you need a lot of knowledge to be able to write these intricate bars and that knowledge comes only with age and experience. they’re very young so I’m sure down the road they’ll start to participate more in the production. this is their best song imo & the MV is a straight up movie.

Nah there is actually a thread on Reddit where people had the audacity to say that the rappers in XG should not be called rappers because they don't write their own rap lyrics. You can only be called a rapper if you write what you're rapping. I have never wanted stupidity to be painful so much in my whole life as I did when I read that thread. The girls maybe don't write their entire raps but they do help write and have input. At the end of the day even if it's a ghost writer (like most American rappers have) they are definitely doing the work and the lyrics justice. They are pulling it off fully with all they got. They dont slack whether they write it or not. So that's for sure frustrating to read. But IYKYK literally 😂 and we know they are definitely the best at showing and pulling through with the craft.

Writing is important but it always boils down to down to first principles. Like president speeches nobody will probably remember who wrote it but one will always remember how it makes you feel. With XG there still in there artistic journey of growth where it can in time and with their experiences in the long run will grow as artist that they can write about their world view and experiences. Their producing team really values their input and there are already plenty of behind the scenes videos that show XG members voicing out their inputs and ideas for their songs and delivering the final product.

I agree they don’t need to write their own lyrics, but they have on more than one occasion written some of their lyrics the TAPE 4s and SHOW YOU CAN. Not to mention they’re contributing creatively in almost everything. And Chisa is learning about producing, she’s the one who assigned vocal placements for Losing you coming up with different harmonies. XG will get there eventually and even if they didn’t they’re still on top! 😤🐺♾️

If I’m going to be real and honest about people not writing their own music, and if that makes them a rapper or not, honestly there are plenty of singers don’t write their own music rappers as well, and there are writers that don’t sing or rap so I don’t think it necessarily matters if they have the swag or the innate talent to deliver. What needs to be delivered then let them be. XG for life.❤

Technically my bias is Maya. But i love every member i literally am usually more OT7 than anything else. And while Maya is more of my bias....its a disservice to not give every member their own flowers because they all do amazing. Theres no loss with XG a bias, the entire group, etc etc is all a win. Want your mind blown a bit further, the Awooo’s are done by first round Chisa then Cocona, second round Juria then Hinata and the last round Jurin then Maya, I just watched an interview with them the girls are a lot more involved then people realize went it comes to everything from lyrics, choreography, and video storylines, it truly is a group effort between Simon and the girls, the girls can and do make changes where they see fit, during their space meetings they all plan every detail for the year and for each song
