WHERE MY MOMS AT!? It's the show by the Moms for the Moms. Hosted by everybody's favorite "cool mom" Christina P! Not only the most REAL show for moms, but the most interactive. An open place to admit no one really knows what they're doing.
Christina P starts this episode of Where My Moms At by discussing how men are crybabies when it comes to handling pain. She then watches a TikTok of a guy ridiculing peanut allergies. She also discusses her recent Pazsitzky Effects regarding sharpening knives and buying soap, and responds to listener-submitted Pazsitzky Effects. CP then looks at emails from the mommy listeners containing #MomHacks and some gross habit follow ups. She watches another TikTok of a foreign pool kiss, and discusses menstrual cups, boys roughhousing, pet reptiles, and why she gets hotel rooms with two beds.
Christina P. wants to hear from you since she is seriously lacking in cool mom friends. If you want to share a "Mom Fail" or "Mom Hack" please call into our voicemail (213)375-5184 and let Christina know! We want to talk to as many moms across America as we can.

I will say I thought the same thing when you said 2% milk and whole milk. My mom raised us so frugal, I think it’s because of our grandmother who came from over seas. But she would buy whole milk and then WATER it down because it would “break down the fat” and last us longer....needless to say I buy the fancy milk 😂😂😂😂

12:55 Re: Sharp Knives, I have used dull knives for most of my adult life because when I was young, my mother had glass cutting boards, and I thought that's just what you use. Glass cutting boards, while they are very sanitary (since they're not porous), they're the worst for your knives and will blunt the edge almost immediately. I had no idea and had glass cutting boards up until around 5 years ago. Get wood cutting boards or plastic (and replace them regularly.) If knives aren't super sharp they're more dangerous. A blunt knife will slide down the side of an onion instead of cutting through it. If you're not sure if your knives are sharp enough, try gently slicing a paper towel (with light pressure.) If it doesn't cut (or cuts but you need a lot of pressure), it's not sharp enough. The electric sharpener that Mommy Tina mentioned on Amazon is just fine. There's a whole lot of ways to get knives super sharp with specialty contraptions or wet stones, but the electric ones are good enough, really fast, and almost dummy proof. If you insist on going the professionally sharpened route, and can't find a guy at the farmers market to do it, you can also bring your knives to a Williams Sonoma, Sur La Table, or most specialty cooking stores. (Call ahead.) Specialty stores can either send your knives out or sometimes they have sharpening events where they'll sharpen a whole lot of knives at once. I also have a sharpening (honing) steel rod on my knife block, and would suggest using the honing steel every time you use your knives, search youtube for help.

@BrianCzapiga

@Kristie C Replace "onion" with another vegetable or fruit with a slippery outside like a tomato or green apple. The more force you need to cut, the more dangerous the knife is to your fingers. I don't disagree about onions - I don't like raw onions, but I feel like cooked onions/shallots have their place in a finished dish.
@ashleysartattack5600
@ashleysartattack5600 4 жыл бұрын
I never knew that about the glass cutting boards! We actually have one built into our countertop that my mom likes. But I prefer a wooden one because i feel like stuff slides around too much on the glass. Like vegetables. But our knives are duller than children’s safety scissors and I now understand why.

What about when you pee or poo? It doesn’t get pushed out? What about overflow?
@jenniferk4244
@jenniferk4244 4 жыл бұрын
@@susie7336 ive been using a cup for 5 years now. The cup doesnt come out when you pee or poop you don't need to worry about taking it out or anything which is extremely convenient. It is best thing ever. you only need to change it once in the am and once at night, for the most part. Overflow can happen when you are adjusting to the cup but youll know after a couple cycles when you might need to change it mid day. Its far more sanitary than any other product on the market for periods, you don't smell or itch down there from all the cotton and and all the random additives put into pads and tampons. Edit: just wanted to say its an adjustment forsure and maybe not for teenagers or everyone (i was scared of tampons for years so i can't imagine a cup at 11) and the down side would be the five minutes in the am and 5 minutes in pm to clean and wash up. but thats better for me personally than being concerned about a tampon all day, wondering if my flow is heavy enough for a regular size tampon, toxic shock, pee on the string lol etc.

My pazsitzky effect is realizing I can buy the occasional expensive treat. Last year I bought a 200 dollar perfume for myself for Christmas, because I went through a horrible year. I was held at gunpoint and I survived botched surgery (for medical reasons) that was supposed to be routine. I had been disassociating and was put on antidepressants. I felt guilty immediately after, like I made a mistake, but I could afford to do it. I don't own anything else like that. I don't wear brand clothing, and I don't have nice purses. The perfume makes me really happy, and I only wear it for special occasions. It makes special things feel more special, like date night. The botched surgery and sutures make me feel ugly, but when I wear the perfume I feel pretty and elegant.

I'm a guy obviously but I've had long hair since high school and yeah, Tresemme or however you spell it is where it's at. Other shit makes it too flat and greasy or does the same thing for twice the price. The 2 for 5 bucks almond suave is great too.

I have a friend who once told me he only showers once a month. He always smelled so bad and I thought maybe it was just because he was a bigger dude that he just smells heavy after a long day but looooooooord he really thinks his cologne covers it up. Also as his friend should I tell him? Of course! However his 2 roommates have told him already multiple times and he still sticks to his once a month routine 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I almost find that hard to believe. Skin must look so bad, so many serious health problems

T I want to agree with you except he’s the most upbeat happiest person you’d ever meet. Like annoyingly positive. I honestly think he’s just lazy lol.

I can't remember the full name of the pregnancy itchy thingy. I was allergic to something about being pregnant. It was like having poison ivy from head to toe for the last 3 months. The short term was P.U.P.P.P. I was miserable & luckily it didn't return in my second pregnancy.

Mommy Tina, if you want to take that shower beer to the next level pick up a Shakoolie. It's a koozie that sticks to the side of your shower to hold your beer. We had them in the showers at my frat and they were put to near constant use.

I just started buying tissues this year, because my GF won't let me use TP.....I'm 34 years old. Apparently regular people don't like to see toilet paper outside the context of where you shit.....This: ... I .....A HUNDRED percent, ...did not know. I didn't realize until I was 20 that to fill up the ice cube tray, I can just hold it on an angle and let the water cascade down from cell to cell until they're all full, instead of trying to move the tray around to each section and the water goes everywhere and some are super full and some are almost empty. I know all these shower products unfortunately. My mom uses White Rain, grew up on it.

I work at a school and for years this little boy who we assumed had a peanut allergy, well one day I saw him eat a peanut granola bar, walking over to him I ask “do you need your epi pen?” He replies? “ No, my mom just thinks I have an allergy, she’s crazy.” 😐😐🤫
