I really like how after everyone watches a "Christine" episode they all go to the comments to discuss the guy or her behavior. I honestly think this is the best wigs series so far besides "Blue." America Ferreara is a really good actress and I cant wait until the next episode!!

Aside, from my previous comment, this was one of the best episodes yet. It was so insightful and the guy that plays Art is fantastic. The actor and the character for Art are done so well and I agree with what everyone else is saying, a girl would be lucky to have a guy like him.

It's nice to know there are so many utterly and completely truthful people in the world. People who have never told a lie, never fibbed, never spoken a 'white lie' in order not to hurt or offend anyone. Never deviated from the truth for a moment, no matter how frightened they were or how insecure. Christine isn't that bad folks, she's human. People lie, all the time, even to themselves and if you think they don't, then that's what you're doing to yourself right now. Lying.

Thumbs up, jvic! I totally agree, and I appreciate your willingness to let the character develop without throwing stones the second our heroine shows some flaws or vulnerabilities. Character studies can have a lot of drama. It's not that there has to be explosions, murders and kidnappings in order to have some sort of plot. And America Ferrara is fabulous in portraying Christine. Those that wrote that her performance is lacking in some way are just plain rude. She may reads these boards, u know.

I have always like Shawn Ashton every sense Goonies. This was no exception. He was sweet and caring and just all around a very good and nice guy. What she said afterward was not surprising. Its good that she finally realized that her attitude really needs to change. Don't just look at a person on the outside. Its whats on the inside that counts. He seem very well put together. Wouldn't we all want a person like that in our lives? Good episode.

I like this particular series & yes she is very flawed but she is like most women. We are afraid to tell the truth at times. I am sure she has an interesting back story but either way this story is an honest portrayal of how many women date, they make up crap as they go along to make their lives sound better (as do loads of men)

Me too. I hope very much this actually has an ending. LOL Yes, she lied, she had probably been there or seen it driving by and it just popped out of her mouth, thinking about diners after the first guy mentioned them. Then she had to cover fast and asked about the ex. Folks are booing on Art for talking about his ex, but he mentioned her once and apologized and deliberately changed the subject, Christine brought him back to it and he was respectful of his ex, always a good sign in real life.

I hear you! Thank god, a reasonable comment that shows some introspection. Dating is about the most nerve-raking thing a person can do. To react too harshly, to try and put your best foot forward, to fib a little to make yourself seem different, to put your foot in your mouth continually, especially when you're nervous, to blurt out inappropriate things sometimes.... these are all perfectly normal reactions and not signs of having mental problems. People are too quick to condemn her.

Well her parents obviously don't own that restaurant. I would be a little unhappy about the rambling about weddings/previous marriages but Christine asked about weddings and he just gave answers. He was very sweet and she threw him away. "You can do better than this Christine" she's SO picky

Because she's so insecure-- you can tell by her body language how she even tries to seem "cooler". In the first statements, she says she doesnt practice self-sabotage which is what she's been doing the entire time. She almost purposefully messes up the dates for her own benefit. She's...damaged in her own way.

While watching the episodes released so far, I kind of wonder if she's really doing this speed dating to actually find someone to date. I kind of get the vibe that she's working on self-esteem and confidence to meet people, which I guess this is a great way to do so... But then she talks to herself and says she can do better... Is she contemplating or does she have split personalities? Maybe a social phobia, extreme trust issues.... I can't wait for the next one!
