I have spent much of COVID reading, researching and enjoying Amos and Andy especially Tim Moore. He is my favorite. Tim Moore said that he made it a point to never tell a joke on stage that he could not tell in front of his mother. He was a decent, moral and upstanding person. Also a highly talented comedian and actor.

I read some biographies of Tim Moore ( Kingfish) , beyond belief, he spent much of his life traveling to every corner of the world performing his comedy act with his 1st and and then his second wife. ( China, Europe, Japan, Australia ), he was a writer for CBS, he was a prize fighter ( fought Jack Johnson ). Of course he died penniless and Frank Sinatra raised money for his funeral.

The producers of A n’ A used the 3-camera setup months before it was used on ‘I Love Lucy’ which gets the credit for pioneering it. They also developed the blueprint for successful sitcoms for years to come beginning with ‘The Honeymooners’ which was still 4-years away.
@kevinmadden1645 Жыл бұрын
The full half- hour episodes of the Honeymooners were four years away.. There were short episodes of the Honeymooners that were part of the Jackie Gleason show. These are often referred to as the"Lost Episodes".

But I have read several articles that say A/A used the three camera setup first.

@@tedcarter8074What little bit she got to sing, Sapphire had a beautiful voice when she didn't sing off key purposely. Otherwise, I didn't care for her character always being on to George every time he walked through the door. He called her many times with terms of endearment but she almost always just called him George.
