Oh my goodness Christine., you really rocked my world.! I’ve never made a gyro myself but I eat them every chance I can. Fortunately I can go to my local Greek restaurants at the sponge docks for some of the best gyros I’ve had around the world. I’m also fortunate to have access to lots of other handmade and homemade Greek items too. That said I always have shaved lamb gyros and had no idea about enjoying something different like a chicken gyro. Looks like you’ve encouraged me to make your recipe now. I can’t thank you enough.

Hi Christine, I have made these gorgeous gyros a few times now and they are so amazing. I’m wondering if you could let me know how you would do lamb for this dish too? What cut? How you’d prepare it? I eagerly await your reply 😂
@ChristineCushing4 жыл бұрын
Lamb is definitely not tradition for gyro, but if you wanted to do it , similarly, I would use a lamb shoulder, either cut into 2-3 " pieces ( 6-8cm" or even as a whole piece ). Roast is slowly , with a similar system to my leg of lamb , but longer. I would add the potatoes a little later. I hope this helps.
@coralwebb42454 жыл бұрын
MyFavouriteFoods ChristineCushing thanks for your advice, now I feel like it would be wrong to try lamb and go against tradition 😂😂😂 I will stick to chicken 🐓🐓🐓. I am absolutely loving your videos thank goodness I found your channel. 🐨💕
