My grandma would redo antiques. It’s amazing the eye for detail she used to have. She had a magical workshop full of different paints, supplies and concoctions. The smell of turpentine always reminds of that magical place where she would create her beautiful woodwork, art projects and designs. She also had a sewing room. My grandparents owned a house from the 1800s and they lovingly fixed it up and my grandma filled it full of antiques. Watching Christine work her magic takes me back to the days of long lost childhood and my dearly departed grandmother. Whom I jave strived my whole life to be a fraction of.

My friend just introduced me to this channel. Her pitch was "dude, this chick is basically you, but with more money." She started me off with the couch and wallpaper videos. I would absolutely do all these things if I had the time and resources. As it is, I recently restored a 1905 singer treadle machine, an oak armoire, and am working on restoring an oak dresser. My mother has a booth at an antique mall, and helps me by keeping a lookout for bizarre or creepy Victorian and Edwardian decor pieces. My life goal is to have a house that is equal parts Tim Burton set, Uncle Monty's house (series of unfortunate events), and Mrs Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

Although, going to so much trouble to leave in a house you are selling seems *far* to generous. Then you get to, "I just think this needs a claw foot pedestal to sit on," and you hand carved claw feet! Really, seriously, you are amazing (and perhaps just slightly very genteelly insane!) I've subscribed and can't wait to watch more. I do hope the new owner of your home appreciates how fortunate and privileged they are to own it.This was so wonderful. Thank you for sharing it. When I tried to explain to my offspring, who were 12 & 16 at the time, that we had compact discs “before” for music, and before that , cassettes ( blank stares) and before that, vinyl records and they were played with a needle, well they fell about laughing- and said I was “tricking”. Fast forward 10 years an DJs play house music on turntables so its old news - and bands are re recording on vinyl. I actually have some old Bakelite discs, those I may have to explain gently... “ well you see, they are made of..”

Christine, thank you so much. This video is much needed by your community. I think you need another old, empty house so you can keep creating and having so much fun. 🥰 I’m excited for the new owners, but most excited for us!
