Thank you for your tip at the end about working on math with your son while you have your daughter do her independent math work. I keep getting nervous about teaching math to more than one child! My eldest is in kindergarten and we have been using MWC K and she absolutely loves it. But I keep doubting myself and researching other curriculums because the thought of teaching more than one child with this curriculum was making me nervous. It takes us about 20 minutes to do a lesson and when I multiply that by three children, that’s a long time to do math! (At least in my mind. 😂). But I really like the idea of doing math with one child while the other finishes the independent work. Thank you for sharing!

I’m debating switching my youngest to math with confidence!!! We don’t do American money but teach our own money!!! This looks awesome and doable!!! I do things like this with my youngest but add things in as I think like of them!!!

My 1st grade daughter is doing MWC 1 too. She is doing so well with it! I kept a few of the manipulatives from our Old TGTB math too, but I sure wish I would have kept alot more! 😩

I switched to MWC from TGTB, & I have not found my “groove” with MWC. I seem to spend a lot of time reading & rereading the game/lesson instructions to make sure I’m doing it right. Not giving up on it though. Example: we’re using AAR & definitely get those lessons done within 20mins or less, I KNOW how that curriculum goes, it’s straight & to the point. MWC tip: we use mini erasers a LOT

Hopefully you can find your groove. It takes a little while to get used to it but now I find it very simple. :)
