AHHHH this comment makes my day. Can I tell you an honest story? I won't say which date or which ship or which of the 8 sailings I've been on.. but there was ONE in which it felt like EVERY influencer and EVERY content creator was on the ship. They were sticking cameras in places that ... sigh... if I was NOT a content creator and I put myself in the shoes of my sister or my mom trying to enjoy a sailing, I'd be pissssssssed. Sometimes there are times it's ok to be loud. Occasionally there are times to be obnoxious. But never is it OK to (for more than 20 minutes and especially not more than 1 hour at a time) to be so annoying that it's distracting. EVEN FOR ME. I was sailing alone! I was so distracted! I was like stoppp come on stopppppp!!! If I'm SUPER honest, part of the reason why I film with a 360, is to try to NOT be so annoying with a camera. When I walk around with a DSLR on a big Ronin gimbal.... with a huge Rode mic on top of it... people will act like you are pointing something that will take their life away from them at them if that lens moves in their direction. Phew. That, times 1000, with huge groups of people acting overly excited during something that was not that exciting and that is the perfect combination to make me extremely sober no matter how much Moet I have consumed. I admit this is a rant. I am done. And I'm going to the fridge to fill up my champagne glass now. lol

I've been binging all your videos since I'm going on my first ever cruise on VV Valiant Lady in March. While I find all of your content extremely helpful for me, this one stood out to me and has now made me more confident and excited for the cruise! I love how much FUN you seem to have as well, and hope you continue to have safe and joyous travels!

that's a hard question! it depends on how busy your sailing is! a 2550 sailing vs. a 1900 sailing are two VERY different experiences. does someone else have a good answer?

I just did my first cruise ever in Dec and it was msc and I hated it. I told myself I wasnt going to do another cruise ever... until I watched your VV videos! We leave for our first VV cruise and 2nd cruise ever in just a couple days. This walk thru is very helpful!

*jots note to self to STICK THE 360 camera through the triple net next week on my sailing. LOLOLOL honest answer: I stick to my guns on exactly what I've asked meatball to help me with (I try to keep his obligations to a minimum... I am never the girlfriend that wants to try and look pretty while he has to hold the camera and re-take the stupid shot 5000 times) and I told him "1 hour. you talk. be helpful. don't have resting meatball face. and we have an optional break for drinking at the 30 min mark". LOL if i stuck that 360 through the net.. this is definitely more than 15 minutes of pure joy for me getting every angle. you know what i wanna do?! push my face against the net and see what kind of weird face i can make. lol. you know like putting your face on the glass shower door. hm. will it have the same effect? to be determined.

Hi Christine I loved your video it was very informative, thank you but I would like to ask you something. I know how to purchase a bar tab but you mentioned "Sailor Loot" can you buy this or is it the equivalent of "Onboard Credit" do you have this as part of a discount when you buy your cruise or is it what you accumulate when you win prizes etc. Please clarify thank you.

I ❤your videos, so helpful. Going on my 1st ever cruise in September with my dad. 1st time cruisers. Neither of us drink alcohol, should we still get bar tab or can we just use our own funds with credit cards for the “extras”. So looking forward to this experience.

oooo in my opinion- just get straight up free sailor loot by having JC reprice your trip to make sure you got the BEST deal. he’ll fix it for you if you didn’t (link in description). my second answer… don’t get bar tab if you don’t drink … unless you drink A LOT of pressed juice and or (non drip) coffee drinks!

Why is it so quiet & everything closed? Is the Test Kitchen an additional charge?

ah! i don't blame you. my guess is you skimmed around the video. I SPECIFICALLY chose to film this when it was as quiet as possible (i.e. we are at port, the majority of people are off the ship). it's a HARD choice.... should I give them THE WORST audio and they can't hear me... and a "REALLY packed ship that they can barely see the spaces"... or should I SACRIFICE a day at port and spend (i was hoping an hour, i ended up spending 3 hours) making this video. sigh. i try very hard to do my best. it's not easy! test kitchen is included! 🤘🏽

@@ChristineLozada No, I watched the full video, it just seemed more quiet than other ships even for a port day. Although I’m usually at port so I really wouldn’t know. Lol! I enjoyed the video! We’re cruising with VV for the first time in July so I’m binging all things VV. 😊 Thanks for your reply.

@@demejj870 maybe your july sailing will be the time to stay on board and find out! its also a great time to book a massage or spa treatment and have the spa area to yourself. i've got $1100 in sailor loot on my upcoming booking and Jason can likely do the same to to yours if you don't have that much! his info is in the description of this video (or pinned comment)
