Demo & Review | Born Pretty Chrome Powders

I got born pretty powders off Amazon, they arrived in less than 3 days. Makes a difference for sure! For a smoother application and so you don't have to do a second coat of powder, instead of using your finger to apply the powder, use the foam applicator and then use a silicone tool to burnish it to the nail. It makes the powder particles lay much flatter for better shine.

Hi there! I love the multi chromes. I use them over all sorts of colors for an amazing color shifting affect. My fav is the rose gold powder over a neon green. It's really eye catching. I ordered mine from eBay. Takes about 3 weeks.

Hello! I'm going to start playing more with the rose gold one. I've seen it layered over several colored bases and it's really transformative. I didn't care for the gold, it's not as "shiny" or "mirror like" I just prefer a gold polish. I'm going to try to play around with it using different colored bases. Hopefully I can find a base color that works out well. Thank you so much for watching!

Christine WIllig | crazyblue1018 your welcome and thank you for your very informative video....me and my sis are going to try yellow nail polish then the gold powder ...i hope it works and she also found success without using a cured gel uv nail polish method so i hope it all works but it should sence she did it with sally hannsen no uv needed gel polish and she already did rose gold and silver and it looked great and she said it was easy but she bought the expensive powder but im not spending 18+ on poweder alone...i think ill try yellow polish BUT SILVER poweder for more of a real gold without a green tint

That black polish looks such great quality!!! Love the name too "Liquid Leather" OMG i love their chrome pigments!!! I used a combination of the chrome powders and the holographic powders in my recent video. i used gel polish though I haven't tried it fully with regular nail polish

Thanks for watching! I had someone request to see if they could be worn over regular polish, but I still prefer them over gel especially since you have to use a water based top coat over regular polish

Has more mirror effect over the regular polish . My guess is it sticks better to it. Gel polish surface is slick it has a harder time sticking when you rub. Thanks for this video!

Can't wait to see the other colors you've ordered. I ordered mine from Born pretty (amazon) but I don't have a uv lamp so i can't use it right now. I need to get gel polish that don't require a lamp ... i wonder if that'll work ... or waterbase polish. But i'd like to see that rose color powder... that' sounds really pretty. Lamps are not super expensive on Amazon. I purchased mine for under 30 (they used to be well over 100). I prefer how they look with gel and they last longer. I plan on doing a holographic powder video really soon and I've found some other ways to use the powders :) Thanks for watching!

Glad you enjoyed it, this was done partly because you requested it (the regular nail polish part) I have seen people use the gold and silver powders over different colored bases and they look a lot better so I may have to play around more with the base color. I definitely LOVE the multi chrome powders, I feel like the formula is very different. Thanks again for watching :)

I purchased the Sparkle & Co. gel polish, and powder set from Amazon $40, and it comes out beautiful! However they give you such a small amount of everything, I'm not sure it's worth the cost. I purchased the blue chrome powder recently from eBay, but it hasn't arrived yet (looking forward to seeing the difference). In your video, and on camera the regular polish & powder looks better, and brighter.

Question: How was the wear on these one's that you did? I found with the set I have it wears well, but it does get scuffed up a little, and it peeled on a nail that I didn't take the shine off. But overall definitely would recommend if you're only using it once in awhile, since there is a small amount.

Christina Marshall the regular polish didn't wear as nicely as gel polish. I think its because of the water based top coat. On camera regular polish does look better but it's not really like that in person. It doesnt look as smooth (it looks more grainey)

With Isopropyl alcohol. You can get presoaked pads or buy a bottle of it very cheap at any drugstore

You remove it the same way you would gel polish. Soak in acetone

Danielle Requa you have to use a no wipe top coat over the black polish(gel or regular) BEFORE you rub the pigment on the nail. Thats what is wrong with this tutorial

Born Pretty is the slowest site of them all. Sometimes it takes 4 to 5 months to get your order & then they always fuck it up!!!! I order from ebay & most of the things I get come from China & I get my stuff usually in 10 days to 2 weeks sometimes a month tops.

And one order that was messed up, they sent a replacement by air mail, had it within a week, and sent wrong item again, sent another replacement in a week, and let me keep the item they sent in error. EBay is great for purchasing nail items. I go to Sally's Beauty Supply, and they are so over charging for the same items I'm buying on ebay, it's ridiculous! Every time I go in there, I can't help but to shake my head. But I purchase my China Glaze, or OPI polish from them, and remover, and that's pretty much it, and even then I look, and wait for sales ;-)

yushrina yush no not use this near your eye, it is not safe for eye use. I had issues getting this off of my hands for days and eventually I rubbed my eyes and got some in my eye... it's the most painful thing I do not recommend it
