I married a German who always says "Germans do Christmas the best" .... 10 years later I kinda have to agree. You can get that Gluhwein at World Market, Trader Joes, or Aldi! I think you guys need to take a trip next year to the Christmas Markets in Germany!!

I can’t agree with you more! Being stationed in for over 12 years I have to say that Xmas KindlMarket in Germany are amazing.. highly recommend Americans travel to Germany or any European Xmas Markets.

Oh, my goodness... My husband and I visited this beautiful Market the first time we went to Chicago to see Hamilton in 2018. (I still have my gluhwein mug and use it every year!) Your video brought back some wonderful memories -- thank you!!!

I love the Christkindl Market! My husband and I have made it a tradition ever since moving to the Chicaoland area. We went last week, and may be going again, because we didn't have a lot of time before they closed. Since my husband is German, we have purchased a couple clocks from there. And we always go in the ornament shops - they have such unique ornaments.

I too went last Winter & was lucky to go on a very pleasant day- (weatherwise) Unfortunately a kot of people had thecsame idea-csuse the place packed! I only had a beer and pretzel because I was going to Marshall Fields and look at their X-mas Window displays and Devour a Ginormus Pot Pie.😋 The ChrisKindle Market Fest is a very pleasant vibe. So much to take in visually & the food smells were almost too much to process...

They have one of those markets in Grand Rapids Michigan and they have individual little buildings for each vendor from what I can tell. Looks like so much fun!

Chicago is a different kind of cold. Sherri, who grew up in the Midwest, has always said she finds Midwest cold much worse than Alaska cold, and she is right. Maybe it’s the humidity? In the Midwest the cold is biting. It cuts through whatever layers you have. In Alaska you can layer up and keep the cold out. In Chicago it just cuts through and chills to the bone
