My favorite item are the Susan Bates crochet hooks. I LOVE those hooks. The gnome pot holder is adorable. And Starbucks hot cocoa mix. Nothing better to drink on these cold evenings in new England. And boy there have been some cold ones. The yarn is a pretty color. Never worked with 2 ply yarn before. Thank you Glenda, for the AWESOME giveaway! Good luck all!

I don't have any shimmer yarn so I'm doing the afghan in Premier Basix, and I'm using spring green instead of the dark green shimmer. Kinda worrie about that part. Hopefully it will come out as nice.😊

Hi Glenda, It looks like these blocks are about 10" square. If I used Basix DK, do you think they would be much smaller? I need 8" blocks, after blocking, and really like this pattern. However, I'm afraid these will be too large, even with a thinner yarn. Thanks, and have a great day. 🐞

That is beautiful Glenda. Does the sparkle from the shimmer flake off at all?

I believe, like other similar shimmer yarns, the shimmer is from a lurex strand that is twisted in with the rest of the yarn strand so there's nothing really to "fall off" since it isn't a surface glitter. Rather it is a shimmer that is twisted throughout.
