We were tasked with making a desert item for Christmas Day dinner at our pastors house with 8 total guests, so we discussed options & decides on a one off by combining ideas we both learned watching many episodes of the Great British Baking Show. Butter cream frosting replaced a custard that did not set correctly in the fridge as were forced to "Pivot" during the making of this delicious cake. We saved the custard in the fridge & baked it in the oven the next day, adding shredded coconut producing something like a coconut mochi crossed with a vanilla custard, that Meg & I found most delicious, such that nothing went to waste. We had enough cake that we left some behind at the pastors house so he could share with his neighbors :)
