Hot take: somewhere warm for Christmas is nice if you spend it on an island in the tropical countries. But I guess it depends on the person too?? But alsooo... anywhere with family is honestly best!!

For christmas: we ran to the parents bedroom, knocked on the door, when they said come in, we ran in and jumped on the bed and woke them up. Then we ran into the living room and passed out piles for everyone's gifts while my dad made his coffee. Once he made his coffee, we opened presents youngest to oldest. Youngest did all of his, then me, then my brother, then sister, then dad then mom. Then we all opened our stocking at the same time

Wow when Denver said his holiday traditions it sent me 🥹 we did the same! Stockings on my parents bed then breakfast then to the tree for presents. Santa only got us 1 Big gift every year and it was covered with a sheet. My brother and I would pull the sheet together. Most memorable would be the Barbie dream house with working elevator as a child and a snowboard when I was older. Santa never stopped bringing gifts 🥰🎅🏻🎄❤️ Merry Christmas!! 🎁

My question is for Teresa: So I have a little one and I want to make christmas special for him. This will be his first year of being old enough for Santa. I loved hearing your memories and how magical they were for you, but I worry about when he finds out when he's older. Was that shattering for you at all? Did you feel bad learning your parents lied to you? Or did the magic of it all outshine finding out the truth? I love christmas, and I just want the best for my boy. I would really appreciate your thoughts! And Merry Christmas ❤💚

Aw! I don’t remember being hurt, I think at the age I found out I was old enough to understand why my parents “lied” and appreciated it :)

I do listen with my kiddo. She is 5, luckily I did not listen to this episode with her. And she always asks why Denver uses bad words. lol. Also, I ruined Christmas by snooping and finding gifts. I didn’t believe in Santa at that point. But my parents bought me a new violin and I saw it early. So then I had to fake it on Christmas morning. It was so dumb and I wish I never looked for my gifts. :(

Ik it’s probably hard to remember everything but on the family thanksgiving story the husband seen certain family members taking unopened deserts and ziplock bags full of food so definitely intentional

Also in Argentina we call it an armario but we get A LOT of words from italian language. Many people say that argentineans speak spanish with an italian accent haha

Also we usually celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve. We would open presents at midnight and have dinner around 11 pm or so. On christmas the same family members would usually come over for left overs and to relax. I am not sure why but I never questioned Santa I always believed. One year we went to a christmas party (I was maybe 7) and when we came back it was like 1 am my parents made us wait in the car and said they were checking out the house since it was so late they wanted to make sure everything was safe. They were obviously putting presents under the tree but I didn't think about it too much as a kid. We came in and Santa had left us gifts. It was great!

On the mother of 3: she really wants everyone to cater to her because she’s “birthing the future” but wants people to only bring food she wants, clean HER HOUSE for the party, and was willing to eject OP’s pets from OP’s own home. The Entitlement the women feels going even as far to be offended not religious people didn’t pray for TEN MINUTES for her is just so weirdly entitled. Must be rage bait or someone truly in denial about their weirdo behavior
