Christmas Countdown Day 18!

A present! Don’t you just love getting a present? The mystery of a wrapped present helps us feel what the world felt before Jesus’ birth. Colossians says the Messiah’s coming was a secret for a long time. God gave hints about the secret but the people waited until the present was opened. That event was
Christmas. Jesus was born.
Our gift unwrapping on Christmas reminds us of the most special gift God gave-His Son Jesus. Just as God gave us Jesus, we can share Him with others as well through our thoughts, words and actions.
2Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, 26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:24-29
Prayer:
Dear Father in Heaven, bless the gifts that we give and get to be signs of Your grace. Thank you for the most precious gift-Your Son Jesus. Help us share that gift with others. Amen.
