Thank you for the heads up this past weekend regarding the ice. Looking forward to a quieter week of weather though the local channels are talking about snow on Thursday. What do you think about that?

You and me both! Glad you were safe this past weekend. It is why we felt the need to talk about why we might see the ice based on what we were seeing in the skew-T diagrams. As far as this weeks snow - we will likely see a clipper system diving across the Dakotas into Iowa - it will slow down on Thursday and start to fall apart on Friday. Early snowfall amounts are hard to say this far out - but it is definitely something to monitor.

Thanks for the possible prediction of below normal cold in January, she says wryly... speaking of Alaska, as you did, it would be nice to occasionally see what's going on up there, specifically the Kenai Peninsula where my son and his family live... ❤
