Oh Katie, I wish I had a quarter of your energy. I have such a mess with my Christmas decor and I dread when it comes time to get it out. I am 66 with serious health issues and my husband has Alzheimer’s (mild to moderate depending on the day). So I just really want this year to be even better than usual. Love the tips! And you have motivated me! I live in a condo building with garages on the first floor and units on the upper 3. I do most of the decorating for the common areas as well as my own unit. Our common storage closet definitively needs some shelving and a good purge! Then I will attempt to work on my own garage (which we can't park in since we store too much in there!)

I'm also in Florida...Volusia County....and my garage gets so dusty, dirty, and gets a lizard or two running around in it. I dont know how you're able to keep things on the shelves without being in totes & they stay clean. LOL I paired down some of our decor last year, but have quite a bit more that I need to do. Make sure to elevate your pillows and pillow covers. They are too close to the ground and are more likely to get dirty. Consider storing them in a clear bin for better protection. Thanks for the inspo!! ❤

I'm on a journey to pull every piece of decor out the boxes it came in, bubble wrap it and into clear bins with label so nothing is out to collect dust, grass clipping, spiders. it saves a ton of space. I see you're getting there too! Doesn't it feel wonderful to get it done?

I went to go buy that viral tree and it was the day of my nieces birthday party so I said oh I'll just buy it after the party. Well I went to go do that not even 2 hours later and it was sold out. I ended up buying a Bethlehem Lights Dupe on QVC. I ended up paying way more than the hope depot one but I love it! It worked out in the end 😂

Great job organizing! One question: aren’t your items subject to high humidity since you live in Florida. It might make sense to store metallic items in protective storage and textiles also. Just a suggestion from an older, learned-from- experience, viewer!

But the viral twisted candles that are so expensive I saw on tic tok someone take a regular tapered candles warm up water on the stove with candles inside and hand twisted them and Walla your very own twisted candles for much less and the color to suit your decor for Christmas. Plus I know you said that you have your garage open a lot, what about grass and dirt in your pillows and blankets.
