Just curious I've watch d a XMas doc on Amazon a couple times . About Santa like beging in other countries if memorie service me. Pretty sure it said Germany has two depending where you live a boy (forgot name) and a girl. Kringle. Anyway what iam doing taking in afternoon movie Nosferatu and then going over bros.Simple dinner .small thing. His kids try to share time with there boyfriends families and friends .So it might be just the three of us(I'm alone otherwise).Well he likes to over cook at times when there's a crowd so gonna tell him too look at this vid . He likes the German sausages and some other stuff. One last thing for a share if your travels ever bring you too GA..there's place called Hellen. It's a German town authentic restraint, windmills, shop. Well it was when my bro first came here and I just visited about12yrs ago planning on getting back. So hard to get place when you live in same state. Have a great rest of year Feli..your vids get better as you go for the most part..take care

It is so prefect in English and in German! Any time I hear it in German I always think about the Christmas Truce during WWI when the British and German soldiers were both singing it at the same time.

Same here. Every year my church ends the Christmas Eve service by turning off all lights except for those on the Christmas trees and everyone holds a candle and we sing Silent Night. It's so beautiful it always makes me feel like I'm going to tear up😊 Merry Christmas to all!

@@lydia4127 We did that, as usual, in my Lutheran Church in California tonight. I sang it in German ('Stille Nacht.Weilige Nacht . . .) and heard many others doing the same. My mother was German and my father was American. We had both American and German traditions. My mom put candles on the tree and we had electric lights on the tree too. My mom lite the candles on Christmas Eve and we sang German Christmas songs. Then she put them out and plugged the lights in and sang American Christmas songs.😅

Perth ? GTHOH ! It's must be hot over there in Perth . I was born in OZ left in my late teens now living in Southern Europe. I was a Melbourne boy born and bred and at Christmas, New Years time we sometimes had a heat wave like 43-44 degrees Celsius I hated that. Does AFL even still exist over there in OZ now ? I was a huge Australian rules football fan back then. I never saw snow until I went to Europe . Merry Christmas mate !

@@gregorygant4242 Your analysis is correct, but he is already in the physical decline of his career (he continues to do magical things, but less and less) and he deserves a peaceful end in an environment that appreciates him and allows him to be comfortable with his family. Unlike many professional players, he is a calm and family-oriented person. Greetings from Patagonia and Merry Christmas!!

We have antique Christmas candles on our tree. We don't light them, we use them only as decorations. But my grandmother when she was a kid did light them some 80 years ago. I love decorating the Christmas tree with my family.

Years ago...when I was in junior high school...on Dec. 21st (my late mother's birthday) our family packed into four different cars (I have four sisters and one brother; at the time there were four nieces and nephews as well) for our annual shopping trip to Frankenmuth, Michigan. While in Bronner's, we came upon a Christmas album sung in German. EVERY ONE of the tunes your family and you sang back in 2023 was in that album and we used to play it judiciously every Christmas season! I STILL remember that it started out with, "Kling Gloetchen." (No umlauts on my phone.)

Not German, but I grew up in the Midwest (Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin) where we were surounded by western Europeans and "Scandahoovians," in the vernacular (plus, I'm part Swedish), so even though I haven't sung or even heard these songs in several decades, I started singing them almost as though it was yesterday. We were so steeped in German and Dutch, primarily, that it never really goes away.

My grandma said that Weißwurst had to be eaten before eleven AM. But on Christmas Eve she served Weißwurst herself, however no Bretzels, but potato salad instead. The Weißwurst could be held fresh until the evening in the fridge, but the Brezn would be old and dry by then. Nowadays the are baked fresh over the whole day. So now you can order them a the bakery's shop fresh at two PM shortly before they close and keep them until 6 PM when they still taste good. Merry Christmas, Feli
