So are you making 2 bags of every color? One for outlining and one for flooding?

Oh my Gosh! These are just gorgeous!!! You certainly make everything seem so simple. It's always so difficult to control those icing bags when you're a novice - too much and it's ruined😢 But to be honest I've found a way to practice without ruining cookies and that is to trace your shapes on paper and slide the paper into a plastic file pocket... then pipe and clean till perfect! I wish I could purchase the kit in Europe... Is it available on Amazon??? Thanks for your most enjoyable tutorial!

Hi Anne, I had the opportunity to get this kit earlier this year and am literally tickled pink! Your Book is so impressive! I think that how you show the easy ways to decorate the cookies is simply Perfection at it’s best. I have a question about Mrs Claus, can this be ordered separately since I already have the other cutters? I sure wish I could come up with your wonderful designs. I also wanted to know which brand or type of Red Food Coloring you use. I have stayed away from the reds because of the nasty taste. I’ve heard of using natural food dyes like Beets but I don’t know how to use them.its probably quite simple to do and I cooked a large Beet getting the red liquid but don’t know if I just put the beet water in the icing or not. I am so happy to read your story and find that you are a Christian and you have so much faith in God.I am also a BIG FAN OF GOD and I’m ow that he should get the credit for allowing his Believers to put him in every aspect of our daily lives as the head of our Family. As it is written, with GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! I BELIEVE GO IS THE REASON YOU ARE ABLE TO BRING YOUR WONDERFUL STYLE OF INSTRUCTION TO THE MASSES OF COOKIE DESIGNERS. I sent you a message last year thanking you and your Amazing Staff for the great job they do when packing up my orders. It’s really like getting a gift and getting such a big surprise when it is delivered! The care of the packaging is as beautiful as the cookies themselves! Thank you again for everything. I have finally been able to take some time and bake the recipe for the cookies in your book. I think, No, I know that it is the best Sugar Cook Recipe I have ever tried. I used Cherry-Almond Emulsion for the flavoring in them and also did Cherry-Vanilla Emulsion in another batch.. They are fantastic tasting. I also was wondering what your background was, if you have always been able to draw out designs with a natural talent or if you went to classes for creating such beautiful designs. It would be an honor meeting you but we are on separate Coasts! I’m in Washington State, at least for now. Please give your Staff and your Family my best wishes for the Whole Christmas Season. Merry Christmas Anne and a Prosperous & Happy New Year, Jill (Aka-JilliBean)

I love your help, but I have to ask, do you just wing it when it comes to outlining the different features on the cookie or are you using a stencil to draw in the lines or a projector?

I just bought this set, so pretty. Excited to use them. That's so cool you get to design them.
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I tried the Santa's again this week and the nose and mustache collapsed and blended into the face and beard, again! Grrr. The first layers of icing seemed to be dry and crusted over, but I did add the details the same afternoon. Do the initial layers need to dry overnight in order to keep the "poof"?
@chandrawong4492 жыл бұрын
I know this question wasn't aimed at me, but since the poster didn't respond.. you need to let the first layer of icing dry completely - not just crusted over before adding another layer. If the first layer isn't dry all the way through, it will collapse under the weight and moisture of the second layer (the nose and mustache). It can take 6-8 hours or more for royal icing to completely dry depending on the humidity in your environment. You can speed up the process a little using a fan or a lot using a food dehydrator. However, it's hard to tell if the royal icing it fully set since testing it when not fully set will break through the icing and destroy your first layer. Best of luck for the upcoming season of cookie making! :)

@@chandrawong449 Thank you for responding. I was using a fan at the time. When I do them again this year I'll leave them to dry overnight before doing the nose and mustache!
