Cole and Jay....we used to put a trailer hook on spinner and buzz baits. Bend the barb flat on the main hook then slip a worm hook over it, then bend the barb back to normal. You can also bend the eye of the worm hook. Anyway, a trailer hook often greatly increases the catch rate. You can attach bream hooks to the existing hooks on Beetle Spins and kids can have fun catching all the smaller fish that normally would strike the tip of the plastic grub but not get hooked. I think I know why I missed a few, I was having a flare-up of my illness and spent a couple of months being pretty drugged up. This is a treat! I have followed you since video #1 came out but obviously I have missed a few. Up here that pumpkin seed plug as an antique, sells for $100 Canadian. I don't fish hardware much anymore but I enjoy collecting. Honestly I have not felt Christmassy since my kids left home and my wife left me. My wife now, Judy tries but I cannot find any joy in my heart. Watching this show made me smile a lot, maybe there is hope.

Hi Cole and Jessica;- Glad you like the books and magazines from our country! They show some of the wildlife and angling species we have here! There are some small "pumpkin" type lures used by freshwater anglers here which are more modern versions, as I've seen in some of our angling/fishing magazines. You can contact the various lure collectors, that I've seen on KZbin channels there for names etc of lures. There are some really truly amazing lure collectors/ collections there in your country! I love your channel! I was told to watch it by my aunt who knows Cole's mom! I actually have met her too, I adopted my dog from her 9 years ago! A chihuahua who's name was Chica at the time. :) Now it's Dixie and I still have her! I also love fishing, my grandpa patented his own crappie jig back in the day called Mr. Wobbly Eyes! I don't know if they're still around, he sold it years ago.

I love buzz baits when aquatic vegetation is pretty thick on the surface. Bass smashing those as they skim across the water surface is just too much fun! For lures that I don't know what they are I've taken a picture then used one of those apps that'll search the picture on then internet for matches and several times I've had success coming up with a match. I've found garage and yard sales to be particularly good places to look for fishing tackle too. Hope you guys continue your efforts to fish in all situations and environments, it is really fun to watch and learn, plus your culinary skills help me too! Thanks for sharing your adventures and may 2020 bring you much success!

My grandpa was born in 1886. He lived to age 96. He told me they`d make their own wooden bass baits (he called bass "trout") and they`d walk the creeks fishing for bass using cane poles.
