I just want to thank you for you being open and honest and not sugarcoating everything. Way to many youtubers make me/ regular people feel that it’s unobtainable that we don’t have tons of money to have all these wonderful expensive hauls and still have tons of money to buy gifts for the kids and spouse, You make me feel like my life is “ normal”. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are an amazing person and mom! The haters are just jealous 🥰.

My Miranda, when you said you were more in love with Curtis then the day you married him, my first thought was WOW what a beautiful gift! Yes I like presents but it is ok to not buy every so often since you do buy for each other throughout the year. Finances for the past couple of years and maybe for the forceable future will be hard for everyone, you will never be alone stressing about those issues. The love you show to each other is so special, no gift could ever be as special. Love you all!

We struggled in our 30s, when we had small kids. We had to spend the most. Now in mid 40s, kids in university, we are doing much better and can breath. Less presents and no debt is better for kids then lots presents and debt that puts stress on mom and dads marriage! Christmas at your house is going to be amazing!

I feel your stress. For our large family exchange, we just pick one name and that makes the gifts special and limits the excess. Definitely looks like you have plenty of gifts. Maybe write everything out that you got for each kid and that will help keep your anxiety down when you're shopping? My youngest was the same way about toys. As soon as I was ready to donate toys, they suddenly became the favorite, ha! Snow!!!! ❤️🌲❤️

We’ve lessened the load a bit with gift giving to family members over the years, which as made it a bit easier… we used to buy for everyone! Grandparents - aunts/uncles, parents & siblings too! Now, the kids are clearly the most important (and it’s nice that other people in our family now have children too, so they understand!!😅)

I was just like you when it came to being a mom. When I was in high school, and all the other kids were deciding on careers, ALL I wanted to do after school was to get married and have kids. That’s exactly what I did, and I have loved every minute. Sadly, my kiddos are grown now and out of the house, but now I have my first grand baby! I’m only 51 so I’m a young Mimi and still have lots of energy to play with my granddaughter!❤️❤️

You said it perfectly when you said that what is important is spending time with family. I am thankful for every occasion I get to spend with my kids and grandkids that my mind is still present and I'm trying not to dwell on the dementia that is projected as my Parkinson's progresses. We are having a quiet Christmas so the stress doesn't overwhelm me but I'm happy for each day good or not as good. Happy Snow Day! Down here in Ohio, we got our first measurable snowfall of the season during the night. Probably only an inch, but it’s pretty. Where I live, we’re only a few miles from Lake Erie, so we tend to get more snow than the rest of our area…..Lake Effect. We also tend to be colder and windier for the same reason. Enjoy your day with the kiddos, and don’t forget to “BREATHE”! Much love!,, 💜💜💜

I agree - Christmas gift giving is primarily for the kids. At Thanksgiving the "grown-ups" all pick a name from a hat - that is their "Secret Santa" person and that's all we buy for outside our own home. And we set a price limit. I know this wouldn't work for all families. It was great that you set everything out to check what you had for the kids. I use to keep a list for my 3 boys, nieces and nephews. I think lists help. Good luck and remember all your KZbin friends love you!

I’m glad you did a good sort out and saw how prepared you already are. I too, had one dream..to be a Mom. It took me until I was 40 to finally have that dream come true. But, I was raised in a very frugal household, and although we are in better position than my parents were, money is tight from time to time and so we’ve adjusted our expectations about how we spend at Christmas and what we want to teach our son. I LOVE to give, and the struggle is real..lol People will tell you what to do, but I won’t 😉. You guys will make Christmas special for your kids, I’ve no doubt about that!! It still blows my mind, what a chill day looks like for you..lol Everyone looked so happy enjoying the new snow ❄️ Loved how Winnie’s room turned out too! We actually don’t keep any toys in my son’s room..with his ADHD, that would be a disaster 🤪 Books, books and more books..that’s what he has. And fish 🐟 love you and am so grateful that you’ve come into my world! And remember...non-scale victories are more important than a number😉💜🥰

Don't know if you've seen on the Flipp app the Costco flyer has a Giant 11ft inflatable Mickey Santa. Also I feel you about the price of everything. When we were younger $200 at the grocery store was unheard of and if they did the cart was overflowing. Now you get a couple bags for $200. It's ridiculous.

Holy snow man!! When you woke up with no snow I was like, ok why is there a snow day?? But now I get it! It’s so pretty too! Did they go to school today? Hope your day was great 💜

It’s perfectly fine to be broke at Christmas time as long as you stay out of debt. Trust me at the end of raising your children they are not going to remember what gifts they did or did not get. What they will remember is movie nights game nights and just being together.💕

I totally have to assess my gift stock and see what else I need. Time is ticking and it's kinda freaking me out. I'm usually finished shopping by Dec. 1, then wrap after that, but not this year. Fingers crossed I have as good an assessment outcome as you did! Yay for Cooper and his snow day prediction! We just got rain here in NS, thankfully. I'm not mentally prepared for snow yet. Lol! Love ya! XOXO PS. I'm sure you already weighed in this morning, but my fingers are crossed for you and my thoughts are positive! 💜

Miranda, thanks for being so real! Financial stress is terrible... and the inflation is crazy on top of it! I'm trying to watch the ads so you can make a little ad revenue :)

I'm also usually done by December 1. I pick up things throughout the year to try and lessen the stress but we are feeling it here too! As long as we are all healthy and together, that's all that matters so we will do our best and have fun! Also.. permission to use "close shave with a two-blader" in my every day life going forward? Hilarious!

Our region took away snow days and instead they have to do virtual school. I personally think they deserve a snow day.

You are making me so nervous with that coffee. I keep watching it...expecting it to spill. 😰 lol It is still snowing here this morning. This week is some weird weather. Snow, rain, freezing rain....UGH....I know it has to come, but I really have to go to the dentist in Fredericton. Hope you have a great Tuesday. Love and hugs!!
