They say Trini Christmas is the best. Mom needs fig leaves to make Trini pastelles. This off-grid adventure takes us all the way to Manacal Valley, Caura where Mr Bat is constructing something with simple tools and corrugated sheets. During the morning, Mr Sammy, a neighbour visits and we head over to Farmer Harry's house to hit him a parang. #InsideCaura

Ironically enough the invention of television conversations has some truths, based on what that gentleman was saying. John Baird transmitted his first images in an experiment on Trinidadian soil. My mom in her late 70’s now constantly spews tidbit facts because of her proud nature (🇹🇹 to debone)and this is one of them. Her love is for Dr. Capildeo the great mathematician and politician. Capildeos theory was used in early outer space expeditions that a lot of Americans does not give credit too. One of my bucket listings is to visit their ancestral home. The 🦁Lion House.
