I have found that if you hot foil sentiments perpendicular to the rollers on the platinum 6 you don't get that last big bump on the last word of the sentiment die. At least that works most times for me. Super cute card. Even though it is mid summer we are stuck inside because of smoke from Canada wild fires so crafting it is!

I thought about this after seeing the results! Thanks for confirming that this would work better, I’ll try it!

Thank you for this video. I have the hot foil system. I get a little confused about placing everything 😊

Hot summer is the norm in Australia - I have trouble with all the snow themes. Santa in boardies on the beach is our thing, so more options are great - thanx

This is definitely a good option then!

It seemed like you had better results using the timer rather than when you let it heat with the platform. I love how your card turned out. The color palate is so cute!

Yes, this time I did! Unfortunately, I don't find it to be consistent though.

Love love love! I know certain colors are harder for you to experiment with, but have you considered playing with more colors out of your comfort zone? If not no worries I was just curious 🫶🏼

Nah, I like to keep true to myself and my style in my work. Always feel free to change up the colors on your projects if you wish, but our personal styles are what make us unique! :)

Hi Bethany - I have a cricut maker and am thinking about venturing into card making, but all the stuff is so expensive. Knowing that you also have a cricut machine, do you feel it's really necessary to get the separate die cutting machine, embossing and foiling machine to make cards like you do? I have bought the blending brushes and some distress oxide inks, a stencil or 2 and a misti (because I cannot stamp straight on to save my life). In your opinion, do I really need anything more or can I achieve similar card looks like you do with what I have?

I’m a firm believer that you should craft with what you have until you feel like you need to upgrade or add additional supplies. I do personally prefer to craft with dies when cardmaking, but you can use a cricut! I have a video coming out about cardmaking on a cricut in 2 or 3 weeks for the summer challenge so be sure to watch that for inspiration when it’s released!
