Corina, I loved your painting. That is truly one of my favorite form of crafting however I have not painted a thing in 3 years. This painting has me wanting to paint again. I used to paint with my mom. She passed away May 11, 2024 from Alzheimers. I need to paint in her memory. Thank you for inspiring me to get back to painting.

I have to say my favorite is, well one of my favorites is your painting. I do love them all. Lol! A couple years ago I decided to decorate my office, but being Christmas, money was tight. I watched a few sip and paint videos and painted along with the host. They came out amazing and I even gained enough confidence to paint one of my own designs too. Everyone loved them and it put us all in the holiday spirit. Watching your video, I found myself rewinding a time or two and I’m ready to paint it now! Lol! I agree about the paint, quality paint is better. One thing I can tell you is to watch a few video concerning paint mixing, to get colors. I was kind of surprised just what you can do with a few colors. I took a painting class when I was in college, and our first canvas was all about paint mixing, we split our canvas into 4 rectangles and painted an Apple three different ways on 3 of the rectangles, and the in the fourth rectangle, we separated that into several small squares and had to put a different color that we mixed up, in each tiny square. It was fun, and it really taught us that with just a few colors of a quality paint, you can make tons of colors. Also, hen you’re painting, walk away for a while, and when you come back, and look at your painting, you will have a better perspective. So, in other words, let it dry naturally, then walk away. You will see what you need to do. 😊

Titanium White is a painters best friend and you can get it anywhere, even Walmart. It's opaque and mixes well with other acrylic paint

I love making the glitter ornaments. The tea light candle is brilliant! I like using Mop & Glo. It has a nice consistency! You’re too hard on yourself and your painting skills. You’ve always done a great job and and your lettering is beautiful!

I came to see what you do with ribbon and discovered an excellent tutorial about some basic painting techniques. I’ve struggled with trees for years. I’m going to try starting at the top instead of the trunk. I usually end up with a huge trunk. I like how delicate yours looks.
