Love the idea of pinwheels in the sashing for the Vintage Christmas quilt. Love the pattern. I've not sewn the entire quilt, but have sewn two table runners using the middle row of the pattern. Fun!

I have to say, I love the Vintage Christmas quilt just as you made it, with al the white "snow" between the trucks and trees. I'm sure if you think sashing or borders between the blocks or rows would look good, it would. You have great taste! I really enjoyed this trunk show. It has motivated me to start a Christmas quilt now!

Really enjoyed seeing all your Christmas quilts. When I back quilts with flannel, I usually skip the batting and it is very thick and cozy with just 2 layers. Some people also use a thin layer of flannel in place of batting. It is a lot easier to sew thinner layers together. Maybe try it some time to see if you really need batting.

I used a flannel for my rag quilt and it worked great, but I also used flannel on the front, and minky on the back and boy is it a heavy quilt!

Your quilts are so beautiful! I made my first quilt last year for my daughter. I use a Christmas panel and added the friendship start all the way around. I also put a soft fleece on the back. I made a baby quilt for my niece’s baby that was born on July 14. I would love to make more quilts but definitely I need to practice more. Thank you for your videos.
