Happy New Year, Brad and Ta! That's really good that Thailand is making an effort to cut back on plastic bags, Oregon is doing the same thing. No more plastic bags here in our state. If you want a bag you will pay for a paper bag. Our favorite place where we get smoothies and tea is also cutting back on their plastic straws and we are reusing our plastic cups! Have a great 2020 and I can't wait to come back to the Land of Smiles soon!

I recall my first Xmas there .. 555 Also, I understand the driving thing too - hopefully the ‘7 deadly days’ stats are down this year - that part of Thai culture does need education.

Oh too funny! You two are priceless! SaWatdee BeMai! Gee and I are very proud of your integration into the Thai work environment, Brad. Nice job! Edit: Oh yes. When we stayed there in 1998-2004 it was not uncommon for there to be 15,000 people killed in traffic related fatalities during the Thai New Year. That's an absolutely unbelievable number considering there were only around 60 million or so people in the whole country at that time. Ha! It's about time you guys moved.

OH MY GOODNESS... I have not seen you both since LAST YEAR!! (3 days ago.. 555) Great video and I am looking forward to seeing more of them in 2020.. One piece of advice, do not try to furnish the condo with too much "stuff" like my late wife did with our second home (we used it for the same reason that you are getting the condo). Like I told her, when we leave here we will have to take all of this "CRAP"... (I mean "STUFF") back to our house, which is what we did and NOW have TWO homes worth of CRAP (I mean STUFF) in one house. 555 Take good care my Friends and HAPPY 2020 !!

Good luck to you also. I agree with your assessment of driving in Thailand. We live in a rural village and when we go to town there are very aggressive drivers on the road . I usually drive at 80 kilometers per hour on a divided highway and there will be cars and trucks passing me so fast it feels like I am standing still. Accidents are common. The accidents involving Tuktuks are frequently fatal.

Next time you order pizza try ordering from this place called gallery pizza in sathorn. They only do deliveries and they always have a deal wherein you get 2 pizzas for just 500 baht.(12 inches). The pizzas are going to remind you of how the Italians do their pizzas in Australia. Much better then dominoes for sure.

First about the health insurance for retirement visa, that is only for new arrivals, I am here since 2007 , and nothing changes for me, my neighbor Sam, Australian, he got his renewal a few weeks ago, nothing changes. About the plastic, Thailand is planning to bann all plastic import, and we should all move to bioplastic, very available in Thailand :P

When comparing all the visitors to Thailand, "Farang" are only a relatively small component. Any marriage between a foreigner and a Thai person would need to comply with the current legislation.

You can't apply for a Work Permit if you only have a Retirement Visa. 👍🙏
