I HAD planned on cleaning my house this week bc I took time off work to do so. Well, you know plans go? Out the window never to be seen from again! I ended up getting a nasty flu that has been sticking around! It hit me like a Mack truck! I had to work Monday but then got the rest of the week off, I was happy with that... when I got up Tuesday I didn't feel right. Very sweaty and unbalanced. I thought, well ill shake it off after I get coffee and make dinner. Nope! By midnight I knew I had that flu my husband has. Great. I hoped it was only a 3 day bug... nope. The sweats have been near constant, and the pain... lots of many different experiences there. The worst is the rib pain from hacking and coughing. Plus a lot of other typical symptoms...so far tonight though I only had the sweats once, so I hope I'm finally on the downside of it! That old saying starve a fever, feed a cold, could not be more true with this, bc most of the time all I want is either water or tea. Nothing else has tasted good plus it makes the need for the bathroom be cut way down. Now I just hope I don't end up having to call in sick... bc, how is that gonna look? But I'm not that person who will spread the joy around. Bc that is not good joy! 😂😂

Crystal, I have to admit! I do love the natural tones a lot of KZbinrs are decorating with, but seeing the red is the REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS! It just gives you that childhood feeling ! Items contract with cold so I wonder if you tried putting your canister in the fridge overnight so the rubber ring would contract. Then try to open it the next morning? You are so blessed to have the wall, counter and shelf spaces that you do to decorate. You have just the right touch to make each area with texture and a little bit of color. We are empty nesters but things you share about your kids liking the Christmas goodies or the advent calendar bring back memories for me. It's great that you are making those special memories now because life goes so quickly. Your goodies for the hot coco bar look delicious. Your family will have fun with that area.
