This fox could not be any cuter! His complaining is cute, the way he burys with his snout is cute, his mouth full of leaves and marshmallows is cute, his feet and tail are cute the list does not end!!! Cuteness overload... lol. You are so blessed to have him, never take even one day for granted. Animals are sweet angels from heaven and their lifespans are too short. God lends them to us for only a short while but the time spent with them is priceless. :)

i come to this video often when i’m having a bad day, because it never fails to put a smile on my face. ronron and his love of marshmallows have been helping me with my panic attacks since before i knew what panic attacks were. i know you might not read this, and ronron isn’t here to get my love, but these videos have genuinely made an impact on me. thank you for that. i will never stop cherishing ronron and his memory.

@mcleodkendall Here you can see him wagging his tail in possessiveness or food-aggression. He also wags his tail when very happy and when greeting me, it can mean many things.

RonRon is much more 'wild' and food aggressive than most of the other pet foxes I've seen. You will find that each fox differs greatly in individual personality.

Here's what I see as someone who knows nothing other than I just watched this video. Fox sees food, fox claims food. And this ones mine, and this one, and this one, and that one I just dropped because I can't fit any more in my mouth. Fox runs away to eat food away from human who could steal it. Human approaches, Fox cries to try and buy some time, placate the human who is far too close to food that is now property of Fox. Fox starts to bury food, Fox sees human can see where food is being buried. Fox runs around trying to fool human. Uses multiple places to hide food as further cover. Eventually, unseen in this video the Fox will casually walk around the human saying "what marshmallows? I didn't see any marshmallows! Great video!

RonRon's squeaks (the noise he makes to tell people that the marshmallows are his only.) are soo cute! When he started burying them I was wondering if he's going to remember where he buried each marshmallow. I was in aww the whole time.

Lawl at how RonRon saw Albi eating a marshmallow, ran back over, gekkered at Albi, and then quickly began grabbing the marshmallows off the ground. I laughed so hard at the end when RonRon was grabbing too many marshmallows and they kept falling out of his mouth whenever he opened it to grab more XD He even pawed at the last one but decided he didn't have enough space in his jaws to grab it XD I laughed even harder at the end when he tried to bury all those marshmallows, but one of them was stuck on his top teeth, and he was having trouble trying to spit it out bahahahaha X""DDDD My stomach hurts XDDD He brought so much joy to others during his lifetime =)

I believe it is a distinct behavior of the fox species... of course, food would usually be more scarce in the wild than in captivity, so he certainly may be caching more with me than he would if he lived in the wild, since he isn't as hungry.

@Crazyredemu Ron does also, it's fox instinct. But Ron doesn't seem to do so as much anymore in the inside water bowl, since he has another water bowl outside in his pen and also the kiddie pool full of water in the summer... He seems to pee and poo and mark to his little fuzzy heart's content outside, and not do so inside in his living room cage (he comes and goes as he pleases through a pet door)

But in contradistiction to wolves and dogs, RonRon wants to run away someplace secret from you and hide 'em away for nomming later. And he seems to want you to go the heck away from him, such that you won't get to see where his nom caches are! Cunning foxy theory-of-mind at work here, I suspect - and an utter joy to witness it, too. RonRon is simply ADORABLE!

Very interesting caching behaviour you've recorded too, that I guess only comes to light in 'pet fox' circumstances. Wolves and dogs would try to gobble 'em all down at the hurry up (indeed, I chastise my nephews for "wolfing" down their dinner, ie: eating too quickly).

LOVE ♥ foxes! Today when I was going for a walk I saw a black fox. It was solid black and so pretty in its winter pelage. It had a white tail tip and a bit of silver around the ruff. It was part of this year's litter I think, from a golden-red vixen. This year she also had a kit that was white with black spots. I don't know if that kit survived. I haven't seen it lately. Their den is built under my walking path so I see them quite often. I love getting to see the spring kits every year. Cute!
