Thank you Michelle and Gerald. Your video triggers our memories of Christmas past as well as gives us a glimpse of some of your special Christmas moments. Thank-you. I believe my Mother read Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" every year since she was a teen ager. That would have been about 80 times I expect! As for the movies, you can't beat the 1951 Alastair Sim version (IMHO). This year, we showed our Michael the Patrick Stewart (yes, he of "Star Trek : The Next Generation" fame) version. It strays a bit more from the original story, but still stays true to Dickens' theme, and I think it might be my second favourite version. Cheers & HAPPY NEW YEAR from D&D&M

I think we all perhaps have our faviourite hat.l..I found one in a second hand/vintage shop in Sept that reminded me so much of my grandmother as she alsway wore a lovely felt hat to church, often with netting or other features on it...this is amazing that you have mentioned the CHARLES DICKENS SUBJECT as I was absolutely THINKING "WOW Gerald must be a fan of Charles Dickens"""!! each time I noticed him in the background in your videos Michelle!🌲That advent calendar is exceptionally lovely!!!! and love Stacey's beautiful CHRISTMAS VILLAGE and gorgeous christmas tree.

Been sleeping. Woke up and cldn't go back to sleep I so got up and and thought I'd look at my utube until I felt sleepy. Saw your new one and your 7 topics made me think. We need to consider all the small incidents in our lives that add up to a full life. I'm reminded that a moment taken for acup of tea in a nice cup is good for the soul, for example. And your manner of delivery is so calming and soothing. Love the story of your hat. Those things are precious. I wish you and your family a very marry Christmas and, like Tiny Tim says (if memory serves correctly), "God bless us, each other and everyone." And happy, prosperous and peaceful 2025.

The other day, I watched the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott for the first time, have you ever seen that one? It was actually very faithful to the original novel. I liked it!

Yes, we have seen that movie with George C Scott. It's terrific! Have you seen the Muppet Christmas Carol? It is so good! Such a great story. Yaaay, Charles Dickens. 😀

@@MichelletheIntrovert Yes! In fact, Muppet Christmas Carol and Aladdin are the earliest movies I can remember seeing in theater as a kid.
