Oh my gosh you having only heard of Hastings via the Poirot short stories is wild and amazing to me! 😂 Yes, you are on the right track. ☺️ Christie was inspired by Holmes and Watson when writing her first mystery, so she created her own version: Poirot and Hastings. I can highly recommend her debut The Mysterious Affair at Styles where we first meet both characters! PS sorry to hear about the DNF but I also DNFed that book as I think you know 🤪 Ahhh! The game board!! You did such a great job making it!! ☃️❤

I read Agatha Christie's Pudding and Midwinter Murders at the beginning of the month and really enjoyed them! Such beautiful and delicate pieces you own from Ana Luisa! I really hope you will work more and more with amazing brands such as it in the foreseeable future!!

I love a good Christmas mystery. I'll be reading Murder on the North Pole Express on either the 25th or the 26th and i'm so excited! I have another book by Alexandra Benedict on my TBR, so that's unfortunate that you DNFed a book by her. I will still try that other book though and i hope that i will love it!

❄☃ Merry Christmas. I am reading the first book in the Lord Edgington Investigates series at the moment, and, if I like the first one I will start reading the whole series in order. I know the Christmas ones are stand-alone books but I like to read a series in order if I can. I am also reading the Lady Hardcastle Series by T.E. Kinsey. I read the Christmas one in that series this month it was a novella that I accidentally missed so I went back and read it after book 4. Thank you for all your wonderful videos in 2024, I look forward to seeing what bookish adventures we will go on with you in 2025. Oh, and I am doing my first EVER reading challenge next year. BooksandLaLa a book tuber I follow is doing a couple so I thought I would give at least one of them a go as I have never done one before. 🥰

⛄️🌨️ I saw The Prestige years ago and found it quite grim and creepy but it’s worth a watch. Hastings and Poirot have some funny interactions together so you have that to look forward to but do start at the beginning book The Mysterious Affair at Styles. The last dish you made looked hella interesting. What was it? I finished Mystery of Mistletoe Hall and enjoyed it-next year maybe I’ll read the one by BBrown you just finished. Just started Wizards Guide to Defensive Baking by T Kingfisher which is good so far. Family coming for our Christmas celebration tomorrow for the weekend so my reading will be curtailed quite a bit. Back to it on Monday though!
